Can I use mono sources in FL Studio?

I need to know how to make my original signals mono in FL Studio. When I open a VST, the wrapper says: 'VSTNAME (Synth) (Stereo). I need to use mono sources to keep from spreading all my instruments too far across the stereo image. Can you tell me how to do this? Only one synth I own has a 'mono' button on it and that is superwave trance pro. I also use vanguard alot but I don't know how to make the signal mono. I did see the stereo spread button the mixer but I want my signal to be mono BEFORE I put my track through the mixing desk.



NOTE: Posted this on FL Studio looptalk too but didn't get the info I was looking for. In case you're wondering why I want to use mono, there is a very good reason. Just don't want to explain it here. Thanks!

No need for 3rd party plugs, just use Fruity Stereo Enhancer. Drop it on your first mixer slot and push the knob all the way right.

Using mono source signals to keep a mix clean is a good technique, but I wouldn't get too hung up on it. Plenty of people are making excellent mixes without worrying too much about the lack of mono mixer tracks in FL (see: Toby Emerson).

No need for plugins even. There's a knob in the mixer that allows you to alter the channel's stereo width.

Of course using Stereo Enchancer is better if you want to use stereo effects on the channel...
