On my system Cosmos spends 10-15 minutes scanning my samples folder on an external USB drive but doesn't find anything at the end of it. It thinks the folder has no samples. So it's completely useless for me.

Didn't someone mention it'd only scan paths that are as deep as 3 folders and may not contain zip-files, either? Might've been on GS, but anyway, this seems to be rather feature-incomplete, to put it carefully.

Cosmos appears to ignore long samples.

in the two normal sample views cosmos shows 80,000 samples, but in the cosmos cloud view it only shows 7,000 samples.
anyone know why that is?

The cloud view only displays one-shots, no loops.

It will definitely scan paths more than 3 folders deep from the root, I've got some and it scans them fine. Not sure why you would expect it to read zip files. Or are you saying the scan fails if there's zip files in the directory?

Apparently the latter (I obviously don't expect it to scan zip files) but it doesn't seem to be 100% reproduceable.

Made a little video re: the miserable voice handling of CR8 (complete lack of a proper voice stealing algorithm).

Voice stealing algo will be in v2.

Fwiw, on closer inspection: It's defenitely not the lack of proper voice stealing alone. In my example, when the second (completely "bypassed" by CR8) chord (or rather the slightly anticipated bass note) is supposed to happen, there's exactly 5 voices playing, so there should be plenty of voice-horsepower left.
I also noticed that there's some truly fishy things happening once you're using the sustain pedal, seems as if it triggers something inside the voice handling algorithm. With the sustain CCs removed and release raised quite a bit (so the chords overlap as well), the notes are playing fine.
However, pretty bad programming. No idea how something like this could slip through. Maybe there's a shortage of sustain pedals in Israel?

I love this Sampler, probably the most fun I've had with a sampler since my Mpc4k. Great Job Waves! I haven't tested Cosmos yet,but the samplers slick.

sure hyperbole is fun...but I don't see that as true...care to explain
Do you use Ableton? If you dont, download the trial, and see for yourself. Live has much better algorithms.

Pretty sure Tj Shredder was saying that the new Waves sampler does things that no other sampler can do.
