Some rather bizarre stuff, even by KVR's standards...
Which is your fav plate reverb in 2023?

Yup, just indulging in a bit of smartassery. No harm meant!Ploki wrote: Sun Feb 13, 2022 9:57 pm he's just being funny, because the topic has been derailed for the last 5 pages

Yeah that is a good one by my books. I' also like the Abbey Road Plates for their earthy, dense tone.

Valhalla plate is my go-to (usually for drums with the "steel" mode). I have lots of IRs of nice plates that sound great too but I usually don't need them unless I'm trying for something very specific. The NI digital plate also sounds very nice for lots of mix applications.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

Sunset Studio and Fame Studio plates form IK are stunning.
Specially Fame Studio Plate... I owned lots of plates and this sound awesome.

Depends on your choice of metal.
I hate signatures too.

You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Make sure to check out Part two, which is where it gets interesting.

Yes, he also published the impulse responses of his DIY plate. They are quite good, especially on snares and vocals.

How is UVI Plate? It's on sale, but not no-brainer territory.

UVI stuff is always quality, and it is a great plate reverb so I would definitely think about it for that price. Not seen it cheaper. Alternatively I am selling mine for more than it is on special so if you want to spend more then the opportunity is here right now. My reason for selling is I have about 6 other high end reverbs and I thought Plate was going to be the easiest to sell and I actually use reverb to create natural spaces so a Plate is not all that useful to me. On the other hand I am using it within a feedback loop in Reaper at the moment and it is f**king great within that context so I might keep itMogwaiBoy wrote: Fri Feb 25, 2022 5:50 am How is UVI Plate?
