Premium car price for me (and premium attitude, with that "Mac only" at release). I'll pass. Might pick it up when it's a couple of years old, and will be priced accordingly.

Yup you are correct! I had already purchased it when I remembered the coupon. So I think we are good, heh. Either way, this thing does sound QUITE amazing.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue Feb 22, 2022 8:39 pmI went back through my emails to look. It intro'd at £129.99 last year with an additional £30 off with the loyalty code. So... £99.99. Same price as it currently is. You can stop being disappointed.JonSolo wrote: Tue Feb 22, 2022 8:29 pm I am disappointed. They offered an additional $30 code last year this time on that. And I would swear they said they would do that again this year.![]()

GForce don't really reduce their prices throughout years that much from what I can recollect.chk071 wrote: Tue Feb 22, 2022 9:22 pm Premium car price for me (and premium attitude, with that "Mac only" at release). This is definitely worth the asking price IMO.

What's the weird drawing between the Frequency and Resonance knobs?

What is even more amazing about this synth is the relatively low Cpu....
I am in love. It is the first Oberheim software synth that I really really like, actually love.
Btw has anyone figured out how to map modwheel to anything? Yes I know the original didn't have a modwheel, but it didn't have aftertouch either afaik.

Definitely wasn't kidding and was not a big Oberheim fanatic. Only playing time I ever had with an Oberheim was in the early 2000's when the local Guitar Center had an OB-8 (massive, massive instrument) in the shop for a few weeks. It was already vintage at the time and I was just getting into synths back then and certainly had no money or space for it. Though I did buy a Rhodes Mark 1 around the same time from the same store and still have that. But if I knew what that OB-8 would sell for now, I would've bought it. Along with every $300 Juno and Moog Prodigy/Rogue that I saw back then. Those things have certainly appreciated in value much faster than the Rhodes.zvenx wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 2:41 am I am not sure if you joking or serious?

Looks like this is not an Universal binary, so we have to install the Silicon version only when using the DAW in native mode.
I'll try to install the intel version, save the VST2 to another location, install the native version, after then I'll overwrite the VST2 native version with the Intel version.
Does it make sense?
Much better ... renaming the Intel version and then installing the native version. Works fine here, I'm running Bitwig in native mode and Cubase (my main DAW) in Rosetta mode.

Given how many people posted to complain there was no PC Version I am surprised there hasn't been more fuss made of this. Maybe people haven't heard yet (or maybe people only post to complain!)
Anyway- I downloaded the PC Demo and it is really very nice, big fat sounds as you would expect, they did a great job. I probably wont buy it as I have so much of this type of stuff already ( bx_oberhausen, Obsession, ob-xA and CA eight voice...) this is no doubt the best 8 voice emulation, but most of the other VSTs (especially Obsession which was also updated to 1.2 today) capture enough of the essence for me.

X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I think I finally figured out the modwheel thing..
one has to do a midi cc map of modwheel onto the amount knob of the Vibrato. Standalone midi cc is different saved parameters than vst3 (so you have to do it twice).

I admit that I was quite hyped in the beginning as well... then I saw that it is Mac only, and I saw the price, and I was like "Nope. No way.".
I maybe would pay 99 € for such a synth. Maybe. Not 143 on a discount, and, like, 170 regular price. That's just nuts. But, hey, they know their market. After all, they also knew that the vast majority of their users use Mac OS.
Maybe peeps who pay 2.000 € for their computers are fine with such prices. Premium for premium people.

people don't easily make 10,000+ posts on a forum by not chatting shit at every opportunity.SLiC wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 11:42 am Given how many people posted to complain there was no PC Version I am surprised there hasn't been more fuss made of this.
