System Restore can crash a system

It sucks, and though I have not had a problem with the system restore service previously, it can bug and your system goes south.
I could have taken it to a shop but re-installed from an old backup.
What I'm suggesting is that you rely instead on a good backup software.

Macrium Reflec is my choice.

I'll use this product then from now on. Thanks for the heads up, though I have never been able to make My asus mobo boot from usb which is ridiculous. It's an asus 970 gaming pro aura.

Reflect will build you a WinPE based bootable stick already, any particular reason to use a different one?
