i built a 12 channel 3 bus custom midi mixing desk, and it cost me well over a grand.
i think there's 160 controllers all up (including mute and solo buttons with lights)

A glance to the "Deals" right hand side bar (at the time of posting) will tell you it's "30% Off until 31 Mar 2022".

I really resent Novation for dropping Automap support with recent versions of MacOS (from Catalina). Being able to map a parameter to the same physical control across multiple pages was a huge boon for usability - eg mapping the cutoff for each SEM module to the same knob on the controller (different page per SEM) would have made this much more plausible.sqigls wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 11:05 pm i built a 12 channel 3 bus custom midi mixing desk, and it cost me well over a grand.

i LOVE SEMs and i really dig the whole Oberheim sound, but ferked if i'll be programming this one
I guess it's possible to program ALL voices from one UI then branch off to each voice to fatten up the sound? Really one of my favourite synths to listen to, but i think i'll stick to Obsession and Oberhausen for making my own sounds.
I will not demo. because GAS

So, this is a picture snipped from the email that GForce sent out to announce this to me...
Is this really the way they should market the release of a product that has had PC users already upset at the company? by an elitist tacit statement that PC's are just like the early 90's beige boxes? Really GForce?
I mean, I get the humor. and I could have had a self deprecating chuckle out of it, but it just smacks of... well, typical Mac user hubris. I'd expect it as a forum gag, not an advert from a respected dev.

Yes, there is Group edit mode which acts like a typical polysynth. There's also Offset edit mode, which retains relative differences between SEMs for each parameter if there are any.sqigls wrote: Thu Feb 24, 2022 5:20 am i LOVE SEMs and i really dig the whole Oberheim sound, but ferked if i'll be programming this one

You're right. Now that OB-E was also released for PC, I'll unfortunately have to uninstall it. It's not sufficiently elitist anymore.
P.s. My laptop is Windows. Whenever I don't use it, I store it deep inside a dark cabinet.

yeah true that.
I just love that sound. And the latest update has a randomizer that can 'intelligently' kind of morph between patches, to create new ones, which can be a mind blower. And a time waster
yeah i'm not too fond of the backwards GUI on that one though.
