I would like to map midi CC 19 specifically, to a control in Ableton? So far i have only found Midi map mode, but the device I am using (Touche SE) is not recognized by Midi Learn and isn't showing up when I move it.

I would like to simply be able to map different controls to CC 16, 17, 18 and 19 which are the X and Y controls. It has been so simple to do in all my VSTs. Is this possible in Ableton?

If mapping is not working at all, but Touche is recognized as a MIDI controller in Ableton's settings, make sure there is a checkmark on "remote" for this controller in the settings.

Thankyou for the reply.

The device appears under MIDI ports, however it is not recognized as a control surface. Also setting the device as a Remote and moving it has not helped. I am certainly aware that the device is functioning and that messages are being sent, it's just that Ableton APPEARS to have no way to map them to the controls other than MIDI Learn. I didn't want it to get as complicated as using some Max For Live tools to achieve it because I don't know how, but if that's what I have to do, I will.

Otherwise, contact the support of "Touche SE" and ask them if the have installer or configuration to make Ableton see it as a controller.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.
