GForce OB-E talk

I just bought OB-E and love the sound. But setting up a device-based Remote Control map is challenging (since this plugin does not report parameters to the host and hence doesn't show up under "device" on the Push controller). I'd like to begin with a master knob for the frequency of all SEM's filters and then a Rez master knob. Then I'm thinking of filling up a bunch of pages with useful parameters. What are your choices for a Remote Control map?
Greetings from Sweden

Click "DEALS" once or twice more to flip pages. In your screen grab, KVR is currently showing you "Latest Plugin Deals & Offers" in that spot, you want the "Latest Marketplace Deals" page in that spot. KVR randomises the deal pages displayed.
The GF offer is still there, but in any case I already gave the relevant details in my above post, so you don't need to go looking for it anyway.

I bought it.
Was hesitant at first because my hard drive floweth over with soft synths.
And while I have several that I have a ton of fun programming sounds for, IMO, none of them sound as good as the GForce stuff I've got.
Price was a little higher than I was hoping, but I think it's worth it.

If it's fatter than bx_oberhausen with 32 voice unison, I'll be all over it, even at their obscenely high "discount" price, but I somehow doubt that it is.zvenx wrote: Tue Feb 22, 2022 3:19 pmIt really does......yes different oberheims but I have been comparing it to my bx_oberhausen, obsession and (cherry audio's eight voice which is the same in theory)... it really is a lot fatter than all of those.
Except Cherry Audio's version is $39 and Synapse's excellent Obsession is $99, which definitely makes this seem about twice as much as it should be (three times as much at full price). That said, if it sounds better than bx_oberhausen (which I paid $39 for), I will probably get it anyway. But I'll always feel ripped off about it.I had the same reaction. £99.99 for a synth like this seems right in the ballpark of reasonable. Compared to what they were charging for their new mellotron, it seems very fair.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue Feb 22, 2022 5:45 pm£99.99 seems fairly reasonable to me. I’d be happier if it were $99 USD, but considering inflation and what not, I don’t think it’s crazy. I’ll get it as soon as someone buys my Voltage Modular Year One collection.
I only found out just now, by actively looking to see if the PC version was out yet. I've not seen any announcement or anything about it. I'm starting to wish I hadn't just spent $200 on 3D models at the Turbosquid sale, although the money we've made from our new EP will cover half of this, if I decide to buy it.SLiC wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 11:42 amGiven how many people posted to complain there was no PC Version I am surprised there hasn't been more fuss made of this. Maybe people haven't heard yet (or maybe people only post to complain!)

OB-E is a very inspiring synth for me. I held off until a holiday sale and decided to jump in. This track uses OB-E throughout. Also VSM and impOSCar2 as well some other things here and there. But it's all built off OB-E...

Nice piece. You definitely can't put a price on inspiration and if it can make sounds like these, I'll probably be $200 poorer come Monday.

I've used the other 8-voice emus and they didn't sound like THIS. Well worth the full price even after the intro price expires.

I just purchased this, thanks to the price drop.
So far, so good.
The unison sounds are great.
A lot of the other sounds are bland and many seem like slightly adjusted versions of the last one in the list.
The Lyle Mays attempts were all fails.
It makes the purchase worth it, as I know that I can create better sounds for it, than the ones included.

Whereas I really like/love many/most of the presets (not in the Split or Chord categories which I will never use).
Next to a Spectrasonics and u-he they are the most pleasing factory presets I have heard in quite awhile.

None of the sequencer patches on this synth work for me.
No sound at all.
What's that about?
edit: I found it.
Have to start your daw playback to make the sequencer work

U r in standalone mode. It is expecting the daw transport to trigger it. In standlone, open seq and disable daw sync ir whatever it is called.

I'm using it in Live, but something strange happened after turning off the daw sync. The modwheel does something strange with certain patches. It's as if there is some kind of pitch changing with the mod wheel up, but when I put it in the down position, it shifts the pitch down an octave and alters the original sound this way. I think there is something weird about this. It's as if the modwheel acts like a pitch wheel or something.zvenx wrote: Sat Feb 26, 2022 11:26 pm U r in standalone mode. edit: When I use the modwheel the parameter display goes up to SEM1 VCO1 - Frequency +24 and when I put it back to the down position it read -24, and moving it to the center goes to 0, so that means that they totally ruined a normal modwheel function.
edit: If I click the cc (control change) button on, the pitch changing for the modwheel stops.
But no modwheel settings seem apparent.
