We as artists cant compose our art in living in anxiety.
I found a very simple way to overcome any bad feeling you want.
I have been doing this for a long time now, every now land then, when I needet it and it works every time.
Gregg Braden is someone you should have a look at anyway, you woundt regret .
But for the beginning, just try it and see for your self.

huh?
i'm just guessing that some rappers may have very frustrating and anxious environment they are living in. and music is the way to express that?
the blues and punk music too? etc.
heck, maybe ian curtis was super anxious?
kurt cobain. can't deal with the pressure of fame?

I'm not saying I'm an artist or anything but I have serious mental issues so I understand how kurt felt been there bought the t shirt.
But I strongly believe that people who suffer are usually the most creative people ,
Look at Vincent van goth or Phil Spector.

I know when I'm emotionally at my worst I can't make music. I don't think having that experience helps me once I'm better, either.
Sure there are artists who did great things despite depression, but who would have made MORE great things if depression hadn't driven them to suicide.
I think the reason there are so many creative people with mental health issues is there are so many people with mental health issues.

Well, Phil Spector isn't the best example because usually, he made other people suffer, didn't he?Lectropunk aka influx808 wrote: Sat Feb 26, 2022 5:59 pm But I strongly believe that people who suffer are usually the most creative people ,

Have you got any scientific data to back that up?Lectropunk aka influx808 wrote: Sat Feb 26, 2022 5:59 pm But I strongly believe that people who suffer are usually the most creative people ,
I'd say those particular folks are (or were) just very famous and the media. You just don't hear about Sarah who lives next door who's got an eating disorder. Or Billy Bob the accountant who's on Xanax.

Complicated subject, after trying so much the only thing that helps me (apart from fluoxitine) is I now know that I suffer from anxiety and always have. affirmation was so important to me.
If I could write a letter to my younger self, at the time the anxiety was being propagated by others it would read.
"what is happening to you right now is not your fault"

While I am sorry to hear you have issues, there is no way anyone could have known how Kurt was feeling or anyone who goes down that road.Lectropunk aka influx808 wrote: Sat Feb 26, 2022 5:59 pm I'm not saying I'm an artist or anything but I have serious mental issues so I understand how kurt felt been there bought the t shirt.

And I hope none of us ever will.

you can capitalize on anxiety.

Finding the right meds (that is, ones which manage anxiety but don't destroy your sex life) is an epic journey (as in, one with lots of adventure, peril, and pain). Mexican agriculture is your friend, but you can't spend your life high; you might find other (and legal!) herbal supplements useful. Meditation is always a huge help, especially if your anxiety is a learned response. It can be managed.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
