Looks much like the Mixpressor in the old MixPack2 that I love so much. Insta-buy for me.

PSP Impressor’s the most easily seen new feature is its new GUI but there are far more differences in details than the new appearance and even beyond what can be seen on its outer layout.
PSP Impressor utilities basic sound footprint of its predecessor with lots of extensions and refinements in sound quality to make it a vital tool for the next decade. So let's list all the differences.

PSP Impressor new features:
  • New high resolution, scalable GUI.
    VST3 support.
    FAT quad sampling option.
Entire compression engine runs at internal quad sampling for proper compressor modelling when FAT is disengaged and 16 x sampling when the FAT is engaged.
High sample rate support up to 400kHz.
Feedback and feedback + feedforward compression modes, PSP MixPressor was running only in feedforward mode.
New side chain filter modes: HPF and Equal Power. PSP MixPressor only had its powerful Bell type side chain filter, however HPF gives more classic touch and the Equal Power results in extremely transparent and well balanced compression of complex tracks, drum groups or even entire mixes.
Four Auto Attack and four Auto Release modes instead of just two for Attack and two for Release.
    Refined compression Shapes for versatility.
    Adjustable Auto Makeup mode.
    Adjustable channel Link.
Input (Pre) and output (Post) meters’ modes with optional Compare mode.
    Adjustable VU reference level.
Adjusted ranges for most of knobs for user friendly operation.
    Input - Output knobs’ link.
    New output Limiter.
Other algorithm refinements to make the PSP Impressor the natural tool of a choice for vocals, drums, acc guitars and other tracks or groups as well or even during the mastering process.
Check the plug-in on your system - download a free 30-day trial from our website.

Until March 14th PSP Impressor will be offered at the special introductory price of US$69 (includes sales or VAT taxes). Starting from March 15th PSP Impressorr regular price US$99 will be applied (includes sales or VAT taxes). Current users of the PSP MixPack bundle can buy PSP Impressor with additional 70% discount.

Definitely an insta-buy with the discount from being a MixPack2 user! I’ve not been buying many plugins the past couple years, as I’ve been more hardware focused, but buying up the new PSP stuff is a no-brainer!

Oh man, the minimum requirement is macOS 10.12. Any chance it’ll work with El Cap 10.11.6? at all?

Looks great though!

The MixPack owner discount is great, thank you PSP. If this is anywhere near as good as the PSP Saturator update was, then it's a no-brainer. I understand you are getting some criticism for splitting the MixPack down to individual plugins, but honestly these are fully fledged individual plugins that can easily standalone. Maybe you could combine MixBass/MixTreble into a single mini-bundle though...

Can the sidechain still have an external input?

MixBass would be nice. I never used MixGate & MixTreble. MixSync might seem rather useless in today’s DAWs.

Looks pretty pretty, very nice. Although some of the shortened labels are a bit quirky: “Look”, “Mk-up” (mockup??), scFLTR ;)
A bit unusual, but of course no real problem…too bad I have too many compressors already.

Definitely buying. I absolutely love the mixpressor.

Btw, I’m loving the new GUIs. Can’t wait to see what the mixbass and mixtreble updates look like.

I thought so too. However, if you add the product to your cart, you may notice that a coupon code is generated. This must be entered into the relevant box during checkout.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

It's a bit complicated and not very user friendly. Log in with your username/passwrd. Then click on Impressor and put it in the cart. Then click "checkout" (you won't see any discount yet). But then, under the check box "I have a coupon", you will indeed find a code: copy it and paste it in the "I have a coupon" box.
In my case I paid $20.
I believe the discount if for owners of the MixPack bundle (in their email it states "as a registered user of our of the PSP MixPack bundle"... I kept the typo)
“In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.”
