On first load the DAW or Standalone should ask for that permission but in some exceptional cases it doesn't.

TBH I'd prefer if double-click did resetting knobs, instead of requiring another hand to press the keyboard modifier (also Shift+drag is usually increasing mouse precision by slowing down the movement in a pretty solid majority of plugins).

Double click can lead to accidental reset, that’s why shift click was chosen.

Ha, perhaps (not that I've ever seen anyone actually object regarding this - in Surge double-click resets and it seems people have no problems with that), but when I'm creating a sound, one hand is on my MIDI controller and the other is mousing around. And it's faster and smoother to double-click reset than to move your hand from the MIDI controller back to keyboard back to MIDI controller etc. etc.
If this can be an option in the .ini file that would be absolutely terrific IMO.

The reset is for a group of eight knobs so we need to take extra care. I wouldn’t mind double click for a single knob value either but it’s not the case.

OH! So this is for a set of knobs rather than just one, sorry I missed that somehow. For those sorts of things a right-click context menu seems like a great option to have, too.

I think that is actually my #1 request for this synth, so: great to hear!discoDSP wrote: Mon Feb 28, 2022 5:58 pm

Hi George, would be nice to have an option to disable the tool tips. Didn't have a chance to check out the beta builds. Just a suggestion for some potential future release.

Why do you want it disabled?

Honestly, I just find this particular implementation visually distracting. Could be the color. Plus most values are just normalized params (0.1 to 1.0) versus meaningful values (Hz for cutoff frequency, semitones for tuning, ms/seconds for glide/ADSR's, etc.) so it's not adding a ton of benefit by having them. A few knobs have real values (global fine/coarse tune, LFO/vibrato rate) so at least there it provides helpful info.
If there were a simple "Show Tooltips" option on this, that wrote to the settings.xml file, I'd probably just keep it off all the time unless I was trying to match the vibrato speed to tempo (where I'd turn it on temporarily).

Thanks for the feedback.
I’ll add a tooltip enabled value on themes XML for the next commit.
