Thanks David, I will reference the video. The Grey Matter card just adds midi capabilities…but I haven’t explored all possibilities (just got the card half a year ago…some things take time)

I didn't see this mentioned here yet:
The last update added preliminary MPE support:
v1.007 Febuary 3rd 2022
Renamed UI controls to match the orgiginal synth names (PMD/AMD)
Reworked the way Operator Level is presented: Extended "Level (Live)"
(a pseudo target to compensate for the Firmware's On-next-Key-only-change.
Fixed a rare case of recall getting wiped with a default SYSEX sound
Preliminary MPE support

DX7II uses the same basic patch sysex as the DX7.maximoog wrote: Thu Feb 17, 2022 11:32 am Will there also be support for DX7II sounds at some point?
However It has extended performance and splits sysex (which you can emulate with our two layer system) and higher quality 15bit DAC (which you can also already choose in OPS7).
DX7II also has custom tuning SYSEX. We do not support that instead we support the more modern MTS-ESP system

Any way to completely turn off ALL effects, besides having to untick the UI on each new preset we load. To me this is a dead give away and what makes the patches sound like a Vst. Vs the Raw sound, in fact I'd prefer to never use these effects ever. I use outboard.
Also I'm having an issue with program changes, they don't seem to work properly. I'm sending PC to the Vst, it literally changes one patch and then stops receiving. Any ideas on either of these ? Thanks

There are two types of user settings in OPS7: patches and presets. Patches are single DX7 patches. Presets include the two possible patches that make up a preset, effects settings, mod matrix options, etc.trusampler wrote: Mon Feb 28, 2022 9:34 am Any way to completely turn off ALL effects, besides having to untick the UI on each new preset we load. If you change presets, this changes the state of the whole plugin. If you change patches, only the patch in one of the two "DX7s" (A or B) will change. Since the preset changes include effects settings (and whether they're on or off), the effects will change with each new preset. You could set up a dry preset and then load different patches.
I don't use program changes. Maybe drop Plogue Support a line to see what's going on there.

The top right presets are all 'wet'/complex by desing. If you want to just have the RAW sound, I would suggest you use the "init" patch then only change the SYSEX patches. There are absolutely no effects in there.trusampler wrote: Mon Feb 28, 2022 9:34 am Any way to completely turn off ALL effects, besides having to untick the UI on each new preset we load. Are you using the VST3 plugin? The program changes are filtered out (its a deep flaw in the VST3 spec)trusampler wrote: Mon Feb 28, 2022 9:34 am Also I'm having an issue with program changes, they don't seem to work properly. Thanks for reply, I seem to remember that about VST3 now that you mentioned it. I'll install the VST2
Thank you!

It may be good to have a button somewhere on the main display to disable all the effects, instead of having to go into the FX tab and manually switching each of them off from there.

Using VST2 , I set up an init dry patch.. I then loaded a sysex bank. So the Syx box is highlighted, I'm not sure if I need specific MSB/LSB numbers, so I went with 0 for both.
I then tried to change programs using my fantom, but it just scrolls thru what sounds like init patches.. I'm not sure what I'm missing here. When I open the A or B tab, it looks like those are the presets section, so I'm not sure how this is supposed to work.
EDIT: Ahh I see I need to drag n drop my favorite sounds onto the A,B lists to create an actual PC list. Thanks

David this synth, is spot on without Efx and tweaking Dac settings.
Real quick question, is it possible to Change the Dac settings and lock them for each new instance. If not possible yet, can this be implemented in the future?
Thanks again for this release.
