Automatic double tracking to create larger ensembles?

Suppose I want to extend the automatic double tracking effect from Reel ADT to create larger ensembles---for example, 4 to maybe 40 voices. Is it likely to work without major phasing issues, and if so what's the best way to go about it? Should I try using Satin with different settings to change timbre and different oscillators to reproduce the Vari-Speed effect to vary timing? Or would it be easier to just use multiple instances of Reel ADT?
Would it help to apply phase randomization to each voice?
Alternatively, is there any way to have Melodyne or a similar program intelligently randomize the timing of vocals without it sounding unnatural?

Hmm, their audio example of what seems like single voice to choir sounds a lot better than the other options I've tried (no phasing issues? how did they do that? I don't see any special parameters?)... and it turns out I got MUnison from Audio Plugin Deals in 2018 and completely forgot about it, didn't even register the serial! Thanks!
Now to try it out... I don't see a method to pseudo-continuously vary the timing (as in ADT) or randomize it differently across different sections, so in theory it should still produce phasing issues?...

If you click on the 'delay', 'format' etc boxes there are further controls, and the 'variate' dial in each adds randomization.Ou_Tis wrote: Mon Feb 28, 2022 8:34 pmHmm, their audio example of what seems like single voice to choir sounds a lot better than the other options I've tried (no phasing issues? how did they do that? I also use Melda MUnison for this.
And for some reason, I've learnt after using it on multiple materials that you don't necessarily get what you expect from an ADT : more voices bring very often less power to the sound. Less is more, once again.

Especially if you start from just one vocal. Better to just record multiple takes, or in the case of vocals, sing additional harmony lines. Then you can use further processing to enhance that (I just put light amounts of soundtoys microshift on my background vocal bus, e.g.).DJErmac wrote: Mon Feb 28, 2022 11:10 pm I also use Melda MUnison for this.
