edit: oh no, i can get the fx bundle upgrade AND the grain delay for 99€. just when i wanted to turn my back to the fx bundle
they really shouldnt do this to me. i kind of need a grain delay and i liked what i saw of their phaser and flanger... well lets see, probably im gonna be reasonable here.

This might be the first product launch I've seen them do where the server didn't immediately melt down.
30 bucks for me. Sure, why the hell not. Kudos for releasing it on payday :p

Pretty cool looking effect. Looks like the granular engine out of Pigments. Will be useful no doubt.

Honestly apart from the interface it has a very strong Mutable Instruments Clouds/Beads feel to it. Seeing as Clouds is one of the most legendary modules in Eurorack it's a strong start. I'm at work so I can't try it out but I can't wait to do so.

The offer is $49 for me.
I may or may not try the demo. With Beads and Melotus Versio in Euro, and Clouds in VCV Rack, I feel like I have granular pretty well covered. The approach with this plugin seems like it took a different tack, but in the audio demos I don't hear anything radically different.
(Melotus I think has multiple buffers that it crossfades between in a circular way, rather than a single buffer with multiple read pointers, unless I'm just misinterpreting it. It certainly acts more delay-like in general usage than Clouds/Beads main granular mode, though.)

It's more likely taken from pigments.dumbledog wrote: Tue Mar 01, 2022 7:36 pm Honestly apart from the interface it has a very strong Mutable Instruments Clouds/Beads feel to it. Seems good, but I wish it would have been around a few months ago when I as shopping for a granular effect and I went for Portal. This seems a bit more advanced, but how many granulators does one really need? It’s one of those things love, but only use it once in a blue moon.

Haha I was holding out on portal looking for alterantives.
They actually have a slightly awkward but well produced and comprehensive demo video on their page, its maybe built on the pigments engine but quite advanced. E.g. you can step sequence releases of grains, so it also adds a bunch of very practical features over sth. like emergence.

Just for giggles I could do with that "granules in space" display in the centre being a black background with coloured granules (in homage to 2001: A Space Odyssey).
Also, the GUI seems pretty big to me with a lot of empty space between the controls and fairly small controls too.
But it can sound amazing. Given what you can do to the sound, a pale apple-green GUI does seems far too calm to me.
