btw.: did they also announce the lack of VST2 support, marked in bold? Otherwise they actually might get some surprise mails from from “happy“ customers who don't live on KVR or GS.

The only thing I read is that Cubase 12 doesn't run VST2 natively under Apple Silicon anymore (which they announced, and also state in the system requirements). Obviously, Cubase 12 sill runs VST2.FapFilter wrote: Wed Mar 02, 2022 12:03 pm btw.: did they also announce the lack of VST2 support, marked in bold? How did you do that?dellboy wrote: Wed Mar 02, 2022 11:41 am I have it downloaded and installed and activated using the grace eligibility upgrade. Nothing obvious has changed when you boot it up other than the logo is now a blue colour. I am waiting for the new Verve Piano to finish downloading which is a whopping 8.94 GB.
When i Bought Cubase 11 Last Year they said there was a free update to V12 but V12 don't show up in my account.
Do i have to Install Cubase 12 first?

There is an option to check eligibility for grace period upgrade in the Steinberg Activation Manager. Maybe you can try there.D-Fusion wrote: Wed Mar 02, 2022 12:58 pmHow did you do that?dellboy wrote: Wed Mar 02, 2022 11:41 am I have it downloaded and installed and activated using the grace eligibility upgrade. Start you Cubase activation manager in windows or Mac and in the top right hand corner where you log in you will see a grace period eligibility tool. Use that to get an email from Steinberg which will contain your activation code.D-Fusion wrote: Wed Mar 02, 2022 12:58 pmHow did you do that?dellboy wrote: Wed Mar 02, 2022 11:41 am I have it downloaded and installed and activated using the grace eligibility upgrade. Oh, right, well maybe he activated before the eligible cut off date of November the 9th (I think that was the date). I activated after that date.

So Cubase 12 on Windows is just a dongle free version, no additional content , no improvements ?
Actually no, I just read the website. Few things that actually look quite interesting in improvements.
And C12 runs VST2.

Well, looking at this new FX modulator, my Cableguys shaper box plugin seems redundant. No need to ask them to update it to VST3.pixel85 wrote: Wed Mar 02, 2022 11:59 am Mostly improvements. No plugin parameters modulators, no clip launcher(!)

Clip launcher like the one in Ableton ?
I can't imagine any Cubase user wanting that. It would be easier to get Ableton if that's your thing.

TBH, I'm not sure if he really did that. I told him to do so, but, I'm not sure if he really clicked on that grace period eligibility button, or just ran the activation manager.
