The death of eLicenser has begun.

Also the death of VST2.

Cubase 12 is native on Apple Silicon, but when running native, it only supports native VST3s.

Also, for the first time I've seen such a thing: Cubase defaults to running in Rosetta2. You need to uncheck the box in Get Info for it to run native. I can't see many people running it native. With no VST2 support, and no bridging to Intel plugins, this severely limits it in native.

You won't get the email automatically without jumping through some hoops.
First you have to check for Grace period eligibility using Steinberg Activation Manager, then you have to upgrade the license itself using Steinberg Download Assistant.

Since Steinberg employs 80386 based servers from 1987, be prepared to keep trying many times before it goes through
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Controller support in Cubase 12 looks awesome! Bought! :tu:
If you plan on purchasing your first Universal Audio hardware, you can get a free additional plugin. Just send a PM.

Naaah... :) Cubase AI is a different case. Mere promotional article.

My Download Assistant does not even show an option for Grace Periods. I noticed that my Cubase 11 Pro license appears to be "incomplete" on my eLicenser...weird, given it has been there since November 15th or so...but given their servers are down I cannot even recover it... that is probably my issue.

Is there no way to map entire plugins to controllers? Let's say I've got a controller with 50+ parameters, am I still limited to 8 Quick Controls? If so, that's completely dumb. Or is that just not shown in their video?

How long does it usually takes to get a trial ?

IIRC, Steinberg usually releases the Cubase Pro trial version after the first maintenance update.
Mac Studio M1 Max 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 64GB RAM, 4TB SSD | Logic Pro 10.7.5 | Cubase Pro 12 | Nuendo 12 | Studio One 6 | Seagate 8TB external HDD | Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 2nd Gen | Akai MPK261 | Akai MPC X

I would highly advise against trying to get the Grace Period Update today, seems their servers are again hammered and unresponsive. I got no result on the grace period check and now my C11 license is missing from eLicenser, and the application just complains about no connection to server possible.
Better wait a few days, or else you might end up having no functioning Cubase at all for the time being...
