In FLStudio 4 I used the 'Fit' function to set the number of steps the sample will playback. It helped tremendously for syncing up loops.
I can't find the 'Fit' function in the sampler of FLStudio 5.
Where is it?

under the time stretching grouping in the channel window, right click on "time" and it will stretch the sample to some pre-defined lengths: 1beat, 1 bar, etc.
..what goes around comes around..

There's a new section under the SMP tab of the sample channel called "Time Stretching"
Turn the 'Time' knob and check the hint bar under the main FL menu - it shows the clips original tempo.
Or you can right click the sample's waveform and select 'detect tempo'.
Next select the stretch method; resample just stretches / shrinks it as in FL4 without preserving pitch. The other methods preserve pitch.

some zeroG acid-ed drumloops show extra-terrestrial values (e.g. 112bpm for loop from 138bpm folder).
that proves *all is relative*.
