Still testing the demo but one thing's for sure, it can create some very liquid-sounding delays. It seems easy enough to use. I haven't worked with the modulation to extremes yet, although I can see the potential. It would help if there were more diverse presets to start with. Thank you for including a light and dark skin for viewing ease. I would encourage you to post some videos on YouTube showing the plug-in's workflow and sound quality.

Holy crap this delay is cool. See! There is always a reason to get another delay!
If this is the dev for the Tonsturm plugins, then that is a good sign because they are very nice sounding unique audio tools as well.

Yes, his collaboration with Tonstrum is what caught my attention when I was reading the "About" page on gs-dsp.com/about. It also mentions that he's worked with Cristian Vogel on software for Symbolic Sound's Kyma 7 sound design platform. Although it's been years since I've used my Kyma system, the people involved in that scene are very serious about exceptional DSP in audio software. So far Magic Delay sounds really sweet. I have to get to other work for now, but I'll definitely be exploring the demo over the next couple of days.plexuss wrote: Thu Mar 03, 2022 10:34 pm If this is the dev for the Tonsturm plugins, then that is a good sign because they are very nice sounding unique audio tools as well.

EDIT: Here is a review from White Noise Studios on youtube:
I just updated the initial post to include a screenshot! If you really want to see it in action you can just download, install and run the trial
Glad you guys enjoy it so far! I've spent years on my Analysis / Resynthesis algorithm to get a nice clean sound and it seems to pay off now!

I think I get how this thing works. I am just starting to get control of it and learning how it sounds and reacts to inputs. Pretty interesting results! Fun fx!

After a late night session, I decided to get it. I was disappointed when NI discontinued their Spektral Delay. And I haven't tried Melda's spectral delay so I can't compare the two. But Magic Delay fits the niche area of delay effects that I felt was lacking in my arsenal.
Like plexuss mentioned, it takes a little getting used to but it's so worth it. It also includes randomization of various parameters for "happy accidents". It was $49.49 and came with a simple license key to authorize the plug-in. Anyone interested in sound design or modern dance music will find this rather useful. Really nice work Gustav!!

Could be that you have some sort of blocker activated, because the store is a popup. Anyway I've forwarded this to Fastspring to check it, thanks!

I'm not about buying this: for me it comes out to $75 CAD = $60US. They are charging me tax. I'll pass for now - although cool, in the end it is a bit of a niche sound. I can do without for that price. I'l keep an eye out for a future sale at a better price. Good luck with it, it's pretty cool.

Just got this. There are many varied approaches to delay out there and I appreciate that. But this thing definitely stands on its own. Then throw in the modulation system and whoa there. If I could I'd get the whole Magic range. Baby steps!
PS The upcoming cross modulation addition will make this that much deeper(and still be easy to deal with)
