Thanks for your feedback and your words on the workflow and sample import feature. Yes, unfortunately, it does take a bit of time to switch between presets, the time depends on the internal code and processing of each snapshots, the samples, data arrays for motion and all the other code bits relating to waveforms, the loops etc. so it’s not instant, but I am glad to hear you enjoy it still!McTecman wrote: Tue Dec 07, 2021 4:44 pm I have to say, I'm very happy with picking this up during the sale.
Enjoying the factory library quite a bit, and you made the right choice in allowing sample import - it makes for a really neat 4-layer X/Y platform within Kontakt for working with your own samples, and I'm finding myself enjoying the workflow (outside of the beefy load times, if you ever find a way to improve those, please do so - it's probably the Achilles heel of this library).
In another forum, which we probably do not mention, I created this little vid to illustrate how naturally field recordings can sound when played across keyrange. In the first 10 seconds you hear only the rain source being played across five octaves with several notes (and with keytracking set to on) although you can hear the pitch shifting, it still sounds natural while moving smoothly through the recording. The 'Rain on Glass' source is in the Water category of Bioscape. There are several rain sources.
Then I slowly dial in a Shakuhachi flute with retrigger set to on (it restarts the envelope at keypress) and a Tibetan bowl timbre with retrigger set to off (it continues throughout the source, just as the rain does). The Shakuhachi and the Tibetan bowl are both from the Aroshanti update in Bioscape v1.3.
The struck Tibetan bowl timbres you hear towards the end are because the source is restarting the loop on some notes, triggering the bowl circle.
