Everyone, click on Modular first before you assume Mulab can't do something. The program is very much a wrapper around the modular mux. A not always intuitive wrapper if you're coming from other DAWs. It's far more powerful than you might think at first blush.

luckily Neutron have some slotssyntonica wrote: Sun May 23, 2021 4:17 pm Whichever is easiest for the OP to wrap their head around. You're probably right, though, in regards to deep design and modulation.
I'm still trying to figure out why someone needs more than 6 inserts, though. I thought that was pretty generous--1 instrument, 1 eq, 1 compressor, a couple of FX or sends. That's all anyone needs, right?![]()

and the whole iZotope subsystem works nicely in MuLab, so MuLab doesn't have to worry about the mixing part ... could be winwin for everybody. ...

^^^ so after one day of playing, I would say the top-level racks can be the mixer group tracks (I've assigned folder tracks to them) the first slot of them gonna contains a MUX instance with additionally racks (instruments) or mixer inserts (samples), double-clicking on the icons of the arranger tracks can open the assigned target-modules directly so multi-level encapsulation not an issue

and found the crossfader in the sample "editor"
so far so good don't have problems with mixer slots (thanks Neutron) have four for sends ...

I like it. It's well organized and fun to use. Having said that, I'd like to see the interface flattened. For me it's all about workflow and ease of use. I wish I could plug a jack into my head be rid of DAWs. MuLab is by far the most underrated workstation out there!antic604 wrote: Fri Jul 10, 2020 10:11 pmI wish they had someone competent work on the GUI.
