The flash sales is how I picked up everything I need from them. Was no more than 29.99 for most and I think I paid 39.99 for decapitator.

What really annoys me is that the upgrade from the 16 or so plugins I have to the full set with effect rack never comes down. Its fixed at $99 , and if I picked up the last few would be less than that.

Soundtoys is not overated, they are useful plugins and I think they sound good, but it would be nice if they had an update to make the GUIs modern sized and not from the previous century, but I read that they don't have any plans to do that for now.

never tried any plugin from soundroys but they seems like excellent quality imo. do they still require iLok?

I'm considering to buy Soundtoys bundle, thanks for created this thread. Idk if they don't update for more than 2 years!

How can we measure the rating of plugins?

I can speak for me: there are so many fanboys out there and the ST plugins are marketed so intense that I decided against them without testing a single one of them. I really dislike endorsement anyway and don´t need toys either.

I felt the same initially and built up my plugins elsewhere. Over the last couple years I've tried a few. They ARE good sounding, but they aren't THAT good. Definitely were ahead of their time but, now, are starting to fall behind the times - they still sound good, but the UX is small and tired, and there's no VST3, etc.

I can't think of a single Soundtoys plugin I'd prefer to something else I have.

Yeah but not the dongle, the software ilok is OK.

Decapitator:
kelvin, saturn, or any X amount of saturators out there.
Crystallizer: valhalla shimmer, melda mgranular, audiority polarverb, eventide crystals
Delay: idk there’s a gajilion out there.
Panner: ? :D daw stock? Cableguys, anything with good modulation really.

I sort of appreciate soundtoys, but everytime i demo them i never end up buying them.

There are some companys that I have rated as mentioned and yes - I am not always right, I know that for sure now (Microfreak) - but ist's good to know that others don't think much different in this (pretty obvious) case 😉

They're buggy on Reaper (seems to have gotten worse with newer Reaper versions) and it's not even officially supported: https://support.soundtoys.com/article/4 ... patibility

I've had settings get reset/frozen, weird noises on reloading sessions, broken mono/stereo operation... Come on, even Waves Q10 supports Reaper.

you can find alternative but it dosen t sound the same

Echoboy is the easiest delay I know to fit in a mix, it has some damping that just works well in general. And the diffusion and reverbs modes are really nice. But I have the whole bundle and I agree they get older somewhat. I also use Crystallizer and Decapitator. I don't think they're overrated but they do get old and some update is needed (gain compensation, oversampling etc)
