"Because FiDef is a psychoacoustic process, it may not have any impact if the listener resists its charms"
so it's your fault if you perceive it to be bollocks...

Psychoacoustic. Right. Because that way it can do absolutely nothing, and rely on conformation bias. I'd love to see the blind level-matched A/B testing on this one.
What rubbish. Go away, MAAT. You're drunk.

Hahaha
"If the listener resists its charms," indeed
Well, at least they're kinda open about it

Is this a joke? It's a bit early for April Fools Day.

Have you guys actually tested it?
If you can go past the obvious (and bad) marketing BS, the plugin does something to the audio. Is it good enough to buy, I don´t know yet, but initially I seem to like it about 7 out of 10 tests, and I can spot the effect 9/10 in A/B tests.

Chris from airwindows made an educated guess about it.sonicpowa wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 8:08 am Have you guys actually tested it?

Long story short i have enough “texturizers”

As an ex "brain scientist" I would love to read their papers on what they are doing. Dr. Christoph Musialik on the team says ot me it is worth a look - but I would like to read more about the method as that is where my main interest lies.
My first thought is it is shaped noise derived from the signal with the same amplitude contour and spectrum. At a low level it would be like a dither that tracked the spectral and amplitude content of the signal.

Yes, a null test reveals it is an expensive texturizer. I think they are asking too much money for it.Ploki wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 8:26 amChris from airwindows made an educated guess about it.sonicpowa wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 8:08 am Have you guys actually tested it?

how did you do the test and what was the output? Looking at something like Devious Machines Texture that is the sort of process I alluded to earlier. However it is generating the texture where they might be being a little bit clever - as I also alluded to.sonicpowa wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:25 amYes, a null test reveals it is an expensive texturizer.
