Sorry for the title but I didn´t know how to describe it in a short sentence... 8)

What I want to do:

I have a midi sequence of i.e. 8 bars full of 1/8th notes...
I need to randomize (printed into the file not random differently on each playback) the note pitches in a given range i.e. C1 - C8...

I am a Cubase noob in this regard so please be gentle :D ...
I guess this can be done with the logical editor but how would be the command line

Thx in advance...

You're right, the MIDI Logical Editor is your friend here :)
This is how it could look, for example:
cubase logical editor random.PNG
(I've also added an additional action which forces the randomized notes into a specific scale)

Select the notes or the events you want to transform, hit "Apply".
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thank you...

Just one last question:

I know there is density for having probability on a track level but is there a way to:
1. Set probability on a note level (this note 50%...this note 75%...etc...)
2. not running in realtime without having to render the midi plugin into the file??
