When you get them setup would you be able to check? It definitely should work both ways, but I don’t think should bump the signal up.

Trust me, I’d be very happy to be wrong… Strymon sells their AA.1 for more than twice the price and I already forgot the name of the Doepfer module Vurt and whyterabbyt have that provides more flexibility over the AA.1 and is also cheaper than the AA.1, but doesn’t have as many ins/outs as Link.
Passive line level shifters can attenuate in one direction and boost in the other, so I wouldn't be surprised if the Erica link can do that too. Does it have transformers?
Even if it’s non-powered? I’ve been searching online and I can’t find anything to confirm that it can (or can’t). Unfortunately on Modular Grid there’s a user that likely doesn’t own it saying it can’t (based on my same assumption).

I’m hoping it can. I’ve added 1 to my cart and am just hoping to confirm. I’d love to use these as sends with the boredbrain patchulator and pedal effects.

I’m using the 1010 Bluebox now, but nothing beats some mindless plugging. so If it’s true, I better buy 2 and label as 1 as input and 1 as output to be truly mindless.

After some googling I may be able to match simple LFOs with one of these

https://www.modulargrid.net/e/doepfer-a-129-3
and I could pair it with an A-145-4 that offers 4 basic LFOs in just 4 hp

Yes, it's possible with transformers to have a passive (non-powered) boost. The fact that it boosts in one direction and attenuates in the other direction led me to believe that might be the case. But I've never encountered this module so I can't say for sure. If it's based on transformers, it won't be able to pass static or slow moving control voltages.

8) slew control too!

You need the A-129/4 Slew Limiter controller to use the slew control input on the A-129/3.
(I just happened to find my old Doepfer A-100 manual :hihi:).
Before 2-4hp utility modules became the norm, that A-129/3 was so useful. There weren’t many alternatives.

WatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Mar 07, 2022 9:28 pm I guess I've been spoilt by using VCV Rack and modules like the Bogaudio LLFO, but are there skinny LFOs in real Eurorack that let you set a frequency, range, offset and various types of wave type all in a couple of HP?
That bogaudio panel looks a bit far-fetched compared to real-world 2hp. It would be very difficult to use the lower two knobs. Erica pico VCO isn't far off, at 3hp.
I had their VCF1 on my list, no idea their VCO could go low to LFO speeds, but it doesn’t have that level of control. Yeah, I think in real world modules I may be better served by a digital utility to get that control.

Range and offset are "performance controls" that deserve proper knobs and can be handled by another module. I have an ALM O/A/x2 close to my LFOs which works nicely.
