It would be nice if there was a copy/paste function in the FX section.

So... I have a drum loop and chopped it up, assigned slices to pads and would now like to add some LO-FI dirt afterwards. But I have to manually do it for every single pad...
It would be nice if there was a copy/paste function in the FX section.

Yeah, I was thinking along similar lines earlier, though I might prefer to have an "Edit All" button so that editing one mapping, edits the four of them (pad level), or the ability to select multiple mappings at a time for editing. It would definitely speed things up.sQeetz wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:27 pm So... I have a drum loop and chopped it up, assigned slices to pads and would now like to add some LO-FI dirt afterwards. But I would also like to have it across pads. Maybe some sort of "lock FX to sample" option.

Im currently trying it out, so running in demo mode.
Using latest version (0.9.45) wipes my session with the plugin in Studio One, on Windows 11.
Everything is lost, path to samples, settings on pads. Is that expected with this update?
Luckily I had the previous version Version 0.9.41, and downgrading and booting up the session again made it work again.
*I have reported the bug to Patrick
**The plugin name was changed, so if you have recall issues: Save the kit/preset, upgrade and then load the kit.

I can't lie to you about your chances, but... you have my sympathies.

Just demoed this and im going to make that impulse buy. You can browse your sample folders and replace samples with just the arrow keys. It's the little nuances like this that improve workflow greatly, that developers seem to forget about i think. Aside from key tracking for individual pads this plugin pretty much has you covered featurewise. I hope to see a way to select pads via hotkey perhaps asdw like speedrum and poise, the latter which was the first drum sampler I used that had that feature. I own Tal-sampler and these two will be my sampler dynamic duo
. Weird request: Please update the Tal-Sampler file browser to the EXACT same one in your new Tal-Drum. I would gladly pay for it AGAIN just for that lol

This thing solved all the problems I had with using TAL-Sampler for drums.
I'm also pretty sure it will replace Speedrum and Sitala that I'm using for drums currently.
I'm also very grateful because I need a great drum sampler in Linux badly.
Still, it would be great to make TAL-Sampler multitimbral with multiple outputs, like Kontakt is, and I absolutely agree about having the same sample browser as TAL-Drum!
Thank you so much for supporting Linux, Patrick. Your plugins are crucial for making me work more and more in Linux with Reaper and I would love to be able to drop Windows out of the equation completely and finally.

My feature request - to be able to input beats and have BPM calculated - has been implement in version 0.9.5. So that's very cool.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Maybe this is asking too much but it would be nice to have a midi audition function like in EZDrummer that will play a midi file within the plugin using the current pads. But I do like it the way it is so far, just my 2c.

There have been some nice suggestions here in this thread. so far I'm liking the look of this plugin.
A couple of suggestions:
- Option to save samples within project file, just like with TAL-Sampler
- Basic waves available in RAM, just like in TAL-Sampler, this would enable drum machine-like capabilities and presets without the need for external samples.

Feel ya!Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Mon Mar 07, 2022 2:10 pmThat's what I was hoping for when I read the thread title. I have too many drum samplers already. But a TAL drum synth would've been very tempting.

Drum synths are a tad overrated IMO.
Just use your synths and sample these.
Way more flexible than just one specialized drum synth, and often also “better“ sounding, or at least more options / parameters to do so.
Of course you'll loose some of the real time tweaking options from a drum synth (but gain others via sampling), but again: if you need these, use one (or more) synth(s) for these.

I second the idea to add the embed audio just like in the sampler. It would make move and backup stuff much more easier. I really miss it.
Great companion for Reaper on linux, although I wouldn't mind few more fx. And of course I would never say no to a full blown drum synth from TAL.

Solved the clicky kick by making it "two voices" in voice group
Activating stretch AND tuning down the drumsample automatically grinds it like that "octave up -> resample -> play octave down = SP1200/ S950 flavour. Very wicked in combination with the Lo-Fi fx.
If I may make a wish: Negative timing for sample playing (positive is there already). Good for the swing ya know
