Logic Pro was updated to version 10.7.3 today.
Although this is a dot release is has huge feature that is an industry first. When you mix in Dolby Atmos you can monitor through Apple's Renderer, the way a Dolby Atmos mix plays back on Apple Music.
And you can mix with Head Tracking enabled.

Please read the fine prints. macOS 12.3 is only required for the new Spatial Audio monitoring option in a Dolby Atmos mix, everything else has the same system requirements as Logic Pro 10.7.2.
Here is a detailed video with more information.

Looks like great update but it looks like Apple is starting to phase out the Environment and this update is the first step in doing that. I know some people are going to lose their s*** when that finally happens. Hiding the menu behind a ctrl-click is Apple's way of saying "we don't want you messing with this" or "we will be getting rid of this". If the replace it with something better I wouldn't mind.

Indeed I would lose my shit. It would also break compatibility with my old sessions that utilize custom transformer sets.apoclypse wrote: Tue Mar 15, 2022 12:52 am Looks like great update but it looks like Apple is starting to phase out the Environment and this update is the first step in doing that. They call it a legacy feature in the manual now.apoclypse wrote: Tue Mar 15, 2022 12:52 am Looks like great update but it looks like Apple is starting to phase out the Environment and this update is the first step in doing that. Well, get ready is all I'm saying. Once Apple starts down this path sometimes they can move really quickly no matter how many people complain about it.masterhiggins wrote: Tue Mar 15, 2022 1:16 amIndeed I would lose my shit. Drag'n'drop between the browser (on the right) and 3rd party AUs still not working on M1 native version (native Logic, native AU, for example TAL sampler). When opening Logic in Rosetta mode it does.

Hopefully it's similar to their approach with the Library folder, which is also available but hidden. I expect the environment will still be available in upcoming releases, for those that know what they are doing. Just keeping those away, that would otherwise create a support call.apoclypse wrote: Tue Mar 15, 2022 12:52 am Looks like great update but it looks like Apple is starting to phase out the Environment and this update is the first step in doing that. "When an Audio Units plug-in crashes while running Logic Pro on Apple silicon Macs, Logic will continue to run, and automatically reloads the plug-in after selecting Recover from the Recover/Quit dialog."
This is a great feature. I guess similar to Bitwig Studio plugin sandboxing.

It’s is but why just on AS and not Intel too? It’s almost as if they are trying to make people move away from Intel Mac.andypryce wrote: Wed Mar 16, 2022 5:34 am "When an Audio Units plug-in crashes while running Logic Pro on Apple silicon Macs, Logic will continue to run, and automatically reloads the plug-in after selecting Recover from the Recover/Quit dialog."
