Lindel and Neold are heavy in my normal rotation so it's sad to see them not updated yet. But I assume with the rest of PA now updated it will put pressure on those devs.

I also assume that list of non updated PA plugs pretty much matches the list of devs who are using PA more as just a distribution channel with their own out of house development and framework.

the Softube app worked here, but iLok wouldn't activate some of it (w. def authorizations remaining).
VSL is basically waiting on iLok to go native, since elicenser's days are numbered.

ilok went native. check for update in the ilok authorizer app. it should download the new native version.

Moreover, it wasnt dependent on the manager app to be native.
Eventide and pulsar are native for months

apparently the PACE system has different parts to it and not all devs use all the parts. or that's how it was explained to me. some software was fine w/ilok intel because those parts they used worked w/apple silicon versions of their software. shrug.

It was never the iLok manager that was the issue. The Fusion client is deeply dependent on the binary structure of the protected software, especially the function call signatures, and all of that changed on AArch64. It took a lot more time to get Fusion working properly. But releasing a native iLok Manager / Pace daemons with the production client release just makes sense.

So are the Fusion developer tools actually native now?

Native builds of the developer tools have been available in beta for a few months.

That's what I initially thought.
But then some of the conversation around it made me wonder if that's for sure, or if it's just the client side manager (5.5.0) that is native.

Is there absolute confirmation that PACE has delivered the tools to make native ports into the hands of developers? I haven't actually been able to find anything definitive.

And we have yet to see that "flood of native iLok plugins" if developers really have had everything they need to port for months. I would think Melodyne, for example, would be ready to go on day 1.

Yes. What do you think the SoundToys and Softube drop was? Not to mention iZotope RX, Eventide, PSP, LiquidSonics, SoundTheory, UVI, and Nembrini.

Don't the ones you mentioned use Eden, not Fusion?
Eventide has been M1 for months.
That one obviously doesn't use tools that have been holding everything up.

Please stop. It has been explained here repeatedly that SoundToys uses Fusion. So does Softube.

Code: Select all

$ pwd
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Model 84 Polyphonic Synthesizer.component/Contents/PlugIns/__Pace_Eden

$ ls
libWrapHelper.dylib        libpacefusion_shared.dylib

$ file libpacefusion_shared.dylib

I'm personally still waiting for Sonible, Oeksound, Altiverb, ADPTR and Wavesfactory Cassette. Then I'll be fully M1 native and happy😀
I messaged Kush Audio but it seems like they won't be native for a while so I am getting those out of my list and selling them.

For me, I'm mostly just waiting on IK Multimedia now.
Can't really move forward without T-RackS and AmpliTube.

I don't know why they're being so leisurely with their native Silicon updates. Up until now, IK has made it their business model to hitch their wagon to Apple.
