Sorry for the off-topic but i would like to know if the original Korg DW-6000/8000 have pure digital oscillators because i see in the FB-7999 that waveforms are already PCM and until now I thought that it would be something like DCO on these synths.

As far as I know the oscillators were digital as their sound came from what KORG called digital waveform generators. Filter and VCA were analog. The DW8000 is a remarkable synth with a beautiful sound and I also like the FB-7999 as well. Yesterday I watched a video by our funny friend Espen Kraft who gives a nice demo on the DW8000.

I have a 7 year old CPU at 4 GHz and I could run 150+ intances with FX on every instance at 64 samples! :tu:

Beach parties with lots of people dancing to very loud house music is a thing most people already know about… :party:

But there is also another type of beach party that most have never heard about -
since it usually only involves one person…

This is when a person goes instead to the lighthouse near the beach party
and vibes alone in there with headphones on... :tu:

Hi!
Haven't been here in a long time. Didn't finish the last months challenge, but I quite liked what I put together while I tested it. As always I really like the stuff Full Bucket is making so there's something I have so far for this month's challenge. Right now I'm struggling with the consistency of kick drum and reconsidering few mixing decisions.

Let me know If you have same good tips for kick drums. Usually I'm aiming towards to 909 type sound but this time I'm really far from that :D

Couldn't find the time/energy for another revision so as it is the details are here.

DAW: Ableton Live 11
14 instances of Full Bucket's FB-7999 (I used a little bit of Kraftraum's presets)
Host FX: EQ8, glue compressor with sidechain, utility, reverb, delay, auto pan and a little bit of saturator on master channel.
3rd party plugins: Limiter6

Thank you! I looked it up (Forest Silent Disco in the UK) and that is really up my alley, love it! The forest is my number 1 favorite place to be in, always there on long walks with my dog with my headphones on :tu:

In my opinion, the natural craving for nature in many modern people acquires very sophisticated forms. Not so long ago, most of the companies I know went to the forest exclusively with a guitar (or another fairly portable instrument) and sang soulful songs around the campfire. Almost all the youth companies that I see now take speakers to nature and listen to modern dance music (less often rap or chanson), thinking that this is how they relax. These quiet discos are also a strange event. In fact, you come to nature and shut yourself off from it, bringing with you most of the city, from which, as it seemed to me, you would like to relax.

As for me, I use headphones to shield myself only from the hustle and bustle of the city, man-made noises and unnecessary disputes. And I prefer not to take the city with me to the forest, there is already something to listen to in the forest, including perfect silence. Only in silence can something really yours and really important come to mind.

..in addition, you may simply not notice a bear or a wolf approaching you! Are you sure that what you are listening to now is worthy of being the last thing you will hear in your life?! :hihi:

BTW I listen 95% of the time to all the stuff at www.paliaudio.com while on walks in undisturbed nature, very seldom music, so I don't mind losing my life in the forest by a wolf or a bear while listening to the highest wisdom :hail:

Yes these awful inhumane traits are sadly the only ”nature” some people seem to have. Some say that such low behaviour is because of ignorance and try to somehow justify it but I don't think that is true, since all these bad human traits and the actions that follow are done 100% intentionallly,
hardly out of ”ignorance”.
And if ignorance equals ”not knowing better” than the ignorant person would in such case be full of humility - not boasting with pride & arrogance etc. ;)

Hahaha the bear would become very peaceful and change his ways :phew: ;)

BTW regarding nature: Prior to the Covid outbreak I had some plans, one of them was to go to India and study audio engineering for several years.

But another plan was to move and buy a house on the portuguese island Madeira.

Look up Madeira - the nature in this place is unlike everything else in the world!
It is never too cold, never too hot either - eternal spring… :)
Many tourists go there but there are hardly any night clubs and stuff like that, not a party island at all but something very different… 8)
