So, that message is displayed when you try to reach them ONLINE.
And being displayed on their website it belongs to their online System.
Of course you may disagree but it will not change whatsoever the result
Live is not dead.

I had that issue, you need to do a deep scan by going to Preferences > Plugins, click Rescan by holding Alt.JamelaBanderson wrote: Sat Mar 19, 2022 11:05 pm On a related note, has anyone been unable to open certain (but not all) VSTs and dll files lately? Started after the last Windows update for me & I was going to ask Ableton for help.

a friend told me that they had a note on the website that it will be down before it actually was down. so the downtime seems to be scheduled...due to maintenance, updates, whatever...

https://www.ableton.com/en/blog/ableton ... -downtime/
This weekend, we experienced downtime on our website and authentication servers. Our license authentication servers are still down. We understand this downtime means that:
Ableton Live trial users are currently unable to save their work
Unlocks for new installations of Ableton Live are temporarily unavailable
Some users may not be able to install new Packs
Auto-updates for Ableton Live are temporarily unavailable
Logging into the Ableton forum is temporarily not possible
We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to resolve this soon. Our engineering and operations teams are working hard to get everything up and running again.
