Both of them have that feature at DAW level, for any device, unless I'm misunderstanding what you're talking about. (Auditioning samples from the browser while a kit is playing without destructively replacing the current sample, but easily being able to cancel the process and sticking with what you started off with?)pierb wrote: Mon Mar 21, 2022 4:41 amEven Live and Bitwig's drum rack as good as they are in other areas do not have this feature AFAIK.

This!I haven't tried making samples yet because the demo white noise is driving me nuts.
I tried to demo it and wondered again why I never purchased any TAL products and then the noise started.
It is not just annoying it is straight insulting.
Why would a dev do this with potential customers?
The opposite: a Klevgrand demo has a gentle fade out.
Now that is a friendly demo restriction
Guess where my next purchase will be.

You can preview samples while the track is playing, but what I mean is being able to hear it in context. As if the sample was actually in the cell, being triggered by the midi, its effects, etc. If this is possible please do let me know how!Dionysos wrote: Mon Mar 21, 2022 11:13 am Both of them have that feature at DAW level, for any device, unless I'm misunderstanding what you're talking about. In Bitwig's drum machine, you use the pop-up browser on the sampler (folder icon on the left device edge) to preview samples in context.pierb wrote: Mon Mar 21, 2022 4:21 pm You can preview samples while the track is playing, but what I mean is being able to hear it in context. In Ableton Live, it's called Hot Swap Mode, see the manual.

At the moment you can use REPLACE to immediately load the sample you choose in the browser. You could use UNDO to revert the change.neverbeeninariot wrote: Mon Mar 21, 2022 4:27 pmNot currently possible in TAL-Drum. I still thinking about how we could implement a preview feature. I may have an idea. Thanks for the feedback.

Could we get key tracking for individual pads via low/root/high and perhaps custom pad layouts? I hope that's not too much.

I'm surprised not more people are asking for key tracking. You'd think people would like to play drum sounds and percussive sounds at various pitches (with all that great aliasing). But you can copy a pad to other pads and change the Tune and MIDI Key of those pads. That isn't too much work if it concerns only a few pads. To Patrick I've suggested a macro feature that does most of this work for the user in case there are a lot of pads to be 'auto mapped'.android_11 wrote: Tue Mar 22, 2022 3:17 pm Could we get key tracking for individual pads via low/root/high and perhaps custom pad layouts? If you make trap/drill then key tracking is an absolute necessity and not everyone is a fan of FL Studio lolLotuz2019 wrote: Tue Mar 22, 2022 5:50 pmI'm surprised not more people are asking for key tracking. You can also use PB, velocity or other MIDI parameters and map these to the pitch via the mod matrix, though it’s of course not as easy to stay exactly in tune

Hi Patrick,
today I sampled my own synthesized kickdrum and I had a click at the end of the sample.
I would very much welcome a feature to cut/trim a sample at a (snap to) zero position.

I guess TAL Sampler would be more appropriate for that use case:Lotuz2019 wrote: Tue Mar 22, 2022 5:50 pmI'm surprised not more people are asking for key tracking.
