No, still issues with the last 7.4 update. Now it sounds but all the controllers doesn't function to me. Turning knobs doesn't make any changes, Filters, Amp, tune, no one

I've installed back 6.9 and all knobs works properly (I have Mac OS Mojave 10.14)

I can confirm it's a macOS related bug. Will fix asap. In the meanwhile I made 7.3.3 available at Members Area.

The culprit was coming from AAX universal 2 binary. Compiling using the SDK 2.4 libraries messed up the plugin so much that parameter response was bypassed as well as other critical stuff. As soon as I stripped AAX from the build everything was back to normal.

The solution until Avid or JUCE fix this was creating individual builds for Standalone/VST/VST2/AU and AAX. There is a new 7.4.1 installer already available at Members Area https://www.discodsp.com/members/ for macOS only.

Fortunately Windows was using the same process already and Linux doesn't support AAX so they were not affected by this.

I love this synth, I had a Nord 3 lead and rack and a 4rack at some point, it really captures its sound.
Can I add a suggestion on the supported Midicontrollers? Please add the Roland System8 as a preset.
I use this board to control all my VI's next to the Roland Cloud. I think there is quite a bunch of ppl using it.

It would make the plugin rankingrate from AA to AAA to me

BTW the GUI skin is awesome man, kudo's for that!

Thanks Regarding Roland System8 yeah of course. It would be great if you could point to the MIDI CC mapping and I'll include on the next update. It's a pretty straightforward process. Duplicating a XML file from Documents > discoDSP > Discovery Pro > MIDI and editing the CC numbers with a text editor will be quicker that a custom MIDI learn.

DO anybody have direct comparison VST vs REAL NORD LEAD Please? Especially for aggressive FM sounds and BP High pass filters, unisonos etc? Mainly high pass at high frequencies / cutoffs?

It's just a fkn shame that noone does this. Should be a given that, if something is emulating something, there is a decent comparison between the synths. Come on. It's interesting for most of us.

Excellent, I started my own mapping and found it harder than I originally hoped. I'm not sure I'd be the best person to do the mapping.

I made this years ago has come in handy a few times when mapping CC's from the hardware to other synths...


And here's my current-state System-8 mapping for Discovery Pro but I think there's still lots of room for improvement.

To both of you: please review and modify as needed. I started it over the weekend and don't consider it complete, but there's some strange things there like: OSC2 volume controls the OSC1/2 mix because frankly, I couldn't get OSC1 volume to do it. Stuff like that.

The NL2 doesn't map great to the System-8 so please modify or feel free to make suggestions.
