We are excited to announce a new soundset for Viper, Cherry Blossoms, which is an immaculate emulation of the famous access Virus hardware synthesizer and was created by Adam Szabo. Furthermore, Cherry Blossoms was originally designed and created within the Virus TI Snow synthesizer a few years ago. I converted this amazing sounding soundset and made it availalbe within Viper. Due to originally being created in the Virus Snow, this soundset has a different vibe than my first two banks, thanks to the unique workflow the virus offers.

The Cherry Blossoms Expansion for Viper contains 121 of the highest quality presets suitable for any contemporary electronic and ambient music genres. It includes a well balanced assortment of presets spread out across a diverse category of patches, including modern and lush sequences, basses, leads, pads, plucks, keys, and tasteful FX. They were designed to not only sound as beautiful as possible, but to have a high degree of expression with extensive modulation assignments via pitchwheel, modwheel, velocity, and aftertouch.

There are three version of Cherry Blossoms Available:

  • Preset Only version for $19
  • Preset version with 43 MIDI files with automations $24
  • Presets, MIDI, 638 .wav Streams, and Two Studio One Project Files used in making the audio showcase: $39

STUDIO ONE PROJECT FILES VERSION

There are two project files included. One contains the live synths and another contains only the streamed waves of the live synths project file, which is the actual project file of the soundset showcase. I streamed to wave all the live synths version to save CPU and make it easier to arrange. The wave version was streamed the same name as the audio track in the live version. Furthermore, the live synth version also contains the pads, but they have been disabled to save cpu. Please re-enable them to listen and mess with. Also, there are over 50 live synths stacked in the live version, don’t have them all play at once!

VIDEO SHOWCASE

Viper is an immaculate emulation of the famous access Virus hardware synthesizer and was created by Adam Szabo. It is one of the most amazing and best sounding synths currently available. It is simply superb sounding and has plenty of its own unique character. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with and more than one time I've been surprised of its capabilities.

Unfortunately, I’m on a Mac so I can’t use Viper. But it sure is a fantastic-sounding Virus emulation. I’ll never get rid of my Virus b and Virus KC, which has the best feeling keys of all my hardware synths.

I fell in love with the Access range of synths many years ago, and they still sound just as cool and versatile as when I first acquired them.

When the Virus TI and Snow came out, I was very tempted to sell one of the older units for a new one, in hopes to use the updated features. But I was happy with what I had at the time and software became more of my focus.

I listened to your demo video while doing some cleaning around my studio space and I’m inspired by the sounds you designed for Viper. You offer some really cool patches with lots of slick programming and effects.

It makes me want to grab one of my Virus synths from storage. But for now, I turn to Dune 3 in place of a Virus. It saves me time, in terms of workflow, and it has even more synthesis options to experiment with. Anyway, I hope your soundset is a success Timothy! Peace ✌️ :tu:

Hey morphex, you are a sound designer, I believe. Thanks for dropping in and sharing your enthusiasm for the virus. I can't get my virus Snow TI to work, so I'm kinda glubbed on that as I really wanna dive into her some more for multi-samples and more banks and tweaking. Then viper comes along and puts a new spin on things. My workflow and experience in Viper should be interesting when carrying over to the orginal as I approach patches differently from the harware and software. I guess, I found some sweet spots in the Viper that I want to address in the Virus haha.
