I value the opinions of those who frequent this forum so I will pose my question here.

I wish to convert my WAV files into MP3 files and also have the ability to put together multiple tracks, to create a full CD.

I use Live4 to mix my compositions, and master using Ozone3. I then save the resulting composition to disk as a WAV file.

What are most of you guy/gals using to create your disks? Would anyone like to make recommendations, and please don't break my bank account? :D :help:

Thanks,
DennisT

Nero. Bought 5.something a while before 6 came out. Got 6 as a free update, complete with all kinds gizzies.

I chose Nero because my dear friends at Roxio offered me an impressive upgrader's discount of $0.00 (that's 0.0% off list) for having been a faithful customer for years.

Nero strikes me as better software, and it cost less than half what Roxio wanted.

'Bye, Roxio! *wavewave* Have fun. Nero is fiddling, and I'm not calling the fire department.

Also got nero express for free with the drive. Never had any reason to bother with anything else.

real player  ... it's faster than media player and will let you burn a cd without pauses between tracks.

Convert files with SoundForge.

Burn with Iomega Hotburn Pro (bundled with drive but have installed on 2 other machines),,,I have found this the most stable,,,all other freeware/shareware etc have been crappo...Windows Media is a good programme but not for burning and I would not touch RealPlayer to save my grandparents.

Another happy Nero user here--came with my equally wonderful Lite-On CDRW!

Windows Media Player 10. It's free, and it seems to work fine for my needs.
