How is it that Behringer announced a DAW on Facebook this morning and there seems to be no chatter about it? Free plugins included…

I am not sure if I am missing something here but their free DAW was announced a couple of years ago and we are still waiting for its release. This morning they did announce some VSTS of their hardware that they are currently developing and which will cost a small amount..............zerocrossing wrote: Thu Mar 24, 2022 7:34 pm How is it that Behringer announced a DAW on Facebook this morning and there seems to be no chatter about it? Ah, I don’t follow all their utterances. I thought the DAW thing was speculation and this was the announcement. It’s written like that.dellboy wrote: Thu Mar 24, 2022 7:49 pmI am not sure if I am missing something here but their free DAW was announced a couple of years ago and we are still waiting for its release. Yeah, maybe I am reading it wrongly, but to me it appears to say that some of their newly developed plugins will be free and I assume that refers also to those shown in those screenshots.dellboy wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 11:21 amWell, make what you will of their post...........

Is this really their own in-house developed daw, or just like how they did it with Krystal ? (Which later became Studio One)

No one knows yet, at least not that I’m aware of.dionenoid wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 12:25 pm Is this really their own in-house developed daw, or just like how they did it with Krystal ? (Which later became Studio One)
There might also a chance that their DAW is based on another developers work. Thinking of ardour/Harrison mixbus.
If I’m not mistaking, the guys of tracktion waveform are open to make use of their technology/audio engine.
