This will be my last purchase of the year (if I win the bid on EBay). I played around with one of these at Guitar Center during the summer and was mighty impressed with the sounds this synth made. Being a lover of pads and atmospheric sounds this would be the best choice for me to round out my hardware synth collection. I don't really need it but I have the cash and want to get myself a Christmass present.

Anybody have one of these? I understand it is a bitch to program but I am game. Any thoughts or suggestions?

No I do not want the software version, this is cheaper. 8)

Have you tried Kubic, what do you think? It would be easier to edit and at $54 bucks looks like a steal.

Not so hard to program...
Had the keyboard ex version,
now still the sr rack.

But I use the VSTi version now.
All depends of the price !

No I haven't. I have tons of software now and have been wanting to free myself from the computer for a possible live excursion at some point. I have Z3TA and a few other similar synths so I got the software covered. I should check it out just the same.

It is less than $350 US. I liked the feel of the one I tried and also the Vector control added some cool posibilities.

I was outbid before I woke and it was over by the time I checked. There are two more up at the moment and I have a bid on one of those so all is not lost yet. They apparently come up on EBay on a regular basis so there is always a chance I will secure one in the future.

Keeping my fingers crossed :)

Check out Xphraze which is a LOT cooler, can do tons more than a WS and is WAY cheaper ($150-$200).

Cheers,
Mike

That is tempting but I am trying to get a setup that can be seperate from my computer.
I did win the bidding and am now the happy owner of a wavestation. :)
