This is pretty much what you are asking for but it will likely not work how you wish it to.

Audio restoration is not really the kind of thing that can be hacked away at nor a single problem but many compound problems that require addressing. So there is no single process that will work but several tools for various tasks. Taking the spectra and inherent dynamics from one source and applying it to another (which is suffering from various forms of degradation) is unlikely to solve any issues.

I'll check your examples later, when I can listen through proper speakers.

I tried a bit,I captured a song spectre (if it's the right word) and then I put other songs with problems. I listen no bass. I listen almost the same result whether it's bypassed or not

If there is no bass, then generating bass using one of the plugins already mentioned and then using DSM, should work.

I'm guessing what the problem is. So ...
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I had in my old laptop pro tools demo and izotope dialogue match demo but I don't remember the results, Also dialogue match I think is only for dialogues not for vocals in songs from vinyls.

generating bass where there is none sounds like arse though
:ud:

... also be sure to check out some videos on YT about DSM v3. You may need to set the threshold to make it work (if you haven't already done so).

Having listened to the YouTube links: Is that distortion part of the original recording or from going in too hot whilst recording from vinyl? Either way, I am doubtful as to whether this could be cleaned much at all without negatively impacting on the overall tone.

With regards to generating sub harmonics: I'm in agreement with the general consensus that such tools are very hit and miss - probably best applied to kick drums or notes without much sustain. However, you might be able to help such a process by filtering out highs and additional lows first. This way, there is less information to confuse the algorithm. You could probably use fairly steep filters for this task. Then mix the fully wet output from the sub harmonic generator back in with the original signal (not the filtered one used purely for analysis).

There are some mastering engineers here and they might have some other ideas but I would suggest to cut your losses and focus on another project.

Spooky. And thank you. :)

Might finally demo it.

Worn records tend to sound distorted. I have several vinyls worn by playing them often with a damaged needle. Lost case if you ask me, cannot be undone.

I'd advice to seach for copies in better state. So crate digging it is...

I don't understand why companies don't release restoration vsts to remove noise from vinyls and to keep the dynamics.
Even if there was a cost about 100-200 euros I would buy something like this. Klean Boy from Elevayta was good but not for sale now. I have tried to buy but I wasn't able to.
I am also very sad that they always release tape saturators, flangers etc and they don't release useful plugins. I think that only old programs were good for restoration and I can't understand why they stop the release for some plugins.

Tday people don´t invent tools anymore. People invent websites that help you find a repair service.

The restauration of Vinyls is a very time consuming task that usually brings questionable results if you don´t really know what you´re doing and have a good listening environment. My dad tried that, too - although I told him better to look if he can find new remasters somewhere. The music industry has alrady discovered this market and those guys know better how to make things sound better.

Nighshift remastered:

The type of EQ you are looking for is a promise of the plugin devs they call either "matching eq" or "spectral compressor". As I work a lot in this domain I can tell you that none of them really fits your needs, not even MSpectralDynamics.

To be honest: I´d better play with my children or spend the time with friends. But if you think different you might try doubling or tripling the track or seperating it in frequency bands (Blue Cat MB7, ...).

If you prefer older software Cool Edit Pro (now Adobe Audition) has restoration tools. You can check out older versions here: http://www.oldversion.com/windows/cool-edit-pro/

I have tried spectrum matcher v3 but the problem is that it doesn't change the sound dramatically,it doesn't fix the bass and treble.
