Yeah, I had one of those 20mb hard-disks for my Atari. If memory serves correctly it was at least a foot square and 2 inches tall or so. You switched it on and it had to spin up to speed. Happy days.
I also had something similar for my ASR-10, a Syquest SCSI drive. I think the cartridges for that were 40MB but they were huge. It was a lot better than the Zip Drives I had been using, which were unreliable, although they were 100MB cartridges and tiny compared to the Syquest. 40MB was enough for all the samples and MIDI for every song I'd ever written. The cable for it, though, was more like a garden hose than an electrical cable, the connector was huge and the board for the ASR-10 to make it all work cost some stupid amount. Technology in the 90s was not for the poor, although it kept me very poor for many years.

Are you seriously expecting us to believe that you are more than 22 years old? Because I'm not buying it for a minute.
I've photo's of me in a baby bouncer during the 1970's if that'll help.. :-D
The problem is you were born in the early 60's.

Grum.
There appears to be a joke I'm not getting.
I had an image of THE INTRANCER still in his baby bouncer at an advanced age. It explained some of the later behaviour to me.

Grum.

My mother was showing me pictures of me as an infant or toddler one day, and one in the stack was a shot of the TV.
"You made that." - I wasn't very old at this juncture I don't reckon, but I was baffled that I could have made a TV at such a young age, because I'd sure forgotten how.
I'm not kidding. Eventually it dawned on me, but man I was feeling like I musta really lost my edge at like 4.

you built an actual working tv? not a cardboard box with a hole for the screen and some knobs you made out of an old egg box, then pretended to read the news to your mum?

I managed to operate the camera and point it at something, which should be impressive enough

Hardware for me, DAWs weren't invented yet at the time.

Funny you mention that, but I was actually I was born on the date that Star Wars - A New Hope was first released in US cinemas. Something I don't think I knew about until almost 30 years later, although as a kid I knew it was a film from the 1970s.
