Did you try to reduce the polyphony or set it to mono? And set the LFO to trigger instead of running freely? Dunno if that's a function on this synth and if you have accidentally opened the LFO. Also you may want to make sure that the FX are off.

I had to put the time and intensity of OSC1 to a high value to get it to have a consistent volume and had to cut out a ton of ugly crap in the mids and highs.

To get a decent kick out of this synth ... phew ... needs quite some work, but thanks to bitwig I was able to get some decent and consistent kick. check it out.

Good morning,
Sorry about my bad English.
I just found out that this contest exists, because I just downloaded FB-7999 and saw that there was a contest going on right now.
I have a question:
Can we use the original VST presets or do we have to create them?
Thank you
Sorry about my bad English.

It's just fine. Welcome to the OSC. Remember, submit by 31st March for this round.
Please read the rules carefully about which effects (FX) are allowed and which are not allowed. e.g. you should not use modulating FX such as chorus, flanger, phaser etc. Compressors, reverbs, EQ , etc are fine. You can use distortion FX, but use it just a little.
If you use external FX (that is, not in your DAW), then the basic rule is that you should not change the sound of the synthesiser such that it's not recognisable.
In this round you must only use FX in your host DAW and free 3rd party FX. Some rounds do allow commercial FX plugins.
Hope this helps,
Do ask questions here, plenty of good people to help and advise.

Welcome to OSC. You'll find this to be a very friendly community of people who freely offer advice, assistance and feedback. There are some fantastic producers in this group and much to learn every month. Have fun!rilderec wrote: Sun Mar 27, 2022 9:21 pm Ok Thanks

I assumed we had to make our own synth patches from scratch (that's what I've been doing).
What does this rule mean...?

It's certainly not mandatory to make one's own patches. Though personally I applaud those that do. And the quoted rule means exactly what is says: use of presets that are sold commercially is not allowed. In the case of synths like VItal or OB-Xd it may actually be relevant. Though I'd most likely fail to recognize any illegally used presets at all.silverpants wrote: Mon Mar 28, 2022 10:43 am I assumed we had to make our own synth patches from scratch (that's what I've been doing).

Alright, here's my track! It uses 11 FB-7999 instances, only stock Compressor and EQ were used for some tracks, and it was done in Renoise. I may make some adjustments before the due date, but I'm happy with it for now.
