Who’s still stoked on PSP?

I still use N2O. It's not iLok. I bought an upgrade to VintageWarmer so I could get a 64 bit version, but as it turns out it requires iLok so I didn't install it. Pity. I liked that plugin.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

I moved onto the Vita and later the Switch.

N20 was my favourite PSP plugin "back in the day" ... I liked it's predecessor Nitro too.PsychicVST wrote: Tue Mar 29, 2022 6:09 pm I never used N20 but it definitely caught my attention. It seems to get a fair amount of praise. I would definitely get it if updated and M1.
I had assumed they were all iLok-ed these days.

All this love for N20 makes me wanna check out the Cherry Audio PSP Ultimate Collection for Voltage Modular. I think I’ve seen it on sale for around $50 in the past. If I see that price again I’m gonna snatch it up.

ilok completely kill it for me.
I’ve got many of them to the latest non-ilok version but the idea to have an expiring plugin (OS evolvement) made me stop using them.

Damn! So many of you are so resistant to ilok. So that means no Eventide, New Fangled, Soundtoys, Oeksound, Gullfoss, SSL, Lexicon, Sonnox, UVI, and many more. Personally, I find ilok convenient as long as I don’t have to have a dongle and they give more than 1 activation at a time. PSP give you 3 activations at a time. That’s 1 more than most. So PSP using ilok doesn’t bother me at all given how they approach it. The only ilok licenses of mine that bother me are Lexicon and Sonnox for needing that damn dongle.

The newer iLok-secured PSP plugins all have awesome, resizable GUIs - razor sharp and attractive. They sound great and work very, very well. Nexcellence and Springbox are super cool. One of my all-time favourite vocal verb plugins s EMT2445. Totally underrated, by my estimation.

Love PSP. Also great guys that I'm happy to support. Their new GUIs are just fine. The old ones need to be overhauled, but I'm sure they're working on them, as evidenced by them overhauling mixsaturator and mixpressor. They also have really damn fair upgrade/crossgrade offers. Couldn't give a shit about iLok.

I like iLok dongles so much I have 2! And I also like PSP. Nice match to iLok and the new plugins and updates are pushing them forward competitively. In a way the older PSP product sound quality was ahead of itself and totally relevant today.

I'm pretty impressed with the updates. The GUI's are a bit too skeuomorphic for how small they are, and IMO the click drag to resize approach is better than 100% 125% etc.
I've always liked their mastering compressor, Vintage Warmer, Busspressor, and N20, so I'm still waiting on those but PSP are putting them out one by one. N2O has needed a GUI resize forever, sounds great, tiny controls.
