What is ToneNET

ToneNET is a free web platform with social features dedicated to guitar and bass players and all AmpliTube 5 users.

Everything is designed to make ToneNET your hub for exchanging AmpliTube presets with other users and for finding the latest ones from VIP artists and brands.

Day or night, you can find new sounds or upload your own with direct access to ToneNET from within any version of AmpliTube 5, even the free Custom Shop edition. You can also connect to ToneNET via a web browser for browsing, searching and selecting presets and to interact with other users.

oh boy, it's going to be wall-to-wall "sounds nothing like <insert fave physical amp here>, too fizzy/digital/static/tinny/walrus"

apart from the bass players, who won't be able to load the presets.

Woo-hoo!

Could care less about Tone Net, but Apple Silicon is great!

If anyone else gets a 103 error when attempting to access tone.net from within Amplitube, note that the usernames for both sites must be identical. Which is a bit silly since the link between them should be more than string matching a username.....but.....

STILL NOT FIXED IN v5.4:

The JCM Slash lead channel still kills your gain. The problem, specifically, is anything less than 10 on the LEAD MASTER actually makes the JCM Slash quieter when LEAD CHANNEL is flipped on. This has been broken since AmpliTube 3.71 or so. The volume should be about equal between the channels when LEAD MASTER is set to 5.

The load times on my 2021 MBP make my 3950X system look incredibly slow.

I don’t give a wet fart about tonenet, but that alone is actually a reason to update…

Actually, not so. I have a different username for IK and tone.net and it works fine. Having said that, I tried to beta tone.net for 2 weeks and it refused to work, getting 103 errors constantly. I tried changing my tone.net username to be that of my IK account but that made no difference. The release version worked first time and my usernames are still different.

Just before I update, I hope they haven’t replaced the annoying pup-ups about demoing gear with annoying pop-ups regarding tonenet now?

There's a big ToneNet button in the top bar but no pop-ups.

Loaded up AT5 on my 2021 Macbook Pro last night and the plugin loaded nearly instantaneously. Wish it was that fast on Windows.

Your username and nickname do not need to be the same, that is correct. Any 103 errors now should be resolved with a de-authorization/re-authorization of AmpliTube 5
