Own onlineshop at a budget

I am looking for the most affordable way to build my own onlineshop to sell downloadable products, like sounds.

What would be the best or may be a free way to go.

Wordpress and WooCommerce is probably your best bet. Of course, takes time to learn it.

I´d not recommend wordpress.com unless you are willing to get into the system itself as well as planning payments, accounting and downloads. I you do: chose an expansive template from a serious dev who will also develop it for future WP updates.

And I´d absolutely not recommend to book an own webspace, install the webshop and manage everything yourself.

I´m not a pro but I have already made some more complex websites and know the business quiet well and I suggest not to underestimate maintenance, payment and accouinting affairs. Maintenance sucks most (updates, security) and can quickly get expensive.

This Gumroad looks wild, if I got the right side.
I had a shop once and did all on my own.
But there are so much thinks you have to look after, especially regarding payments and money and taxes and so on, where to send what amound of taxes in europe.

Its a hassle all the time.

Its a hassle all the time.

That´s why there are sercvice providers tday, although some of them have pretty strange conditions like bandwith restrictions or a max number of products. But they´ll save lots of time that improves your support!^^
