I'm trying this, and despite having the correct version running, and verifying the binary includes the ARM architecture, I cannot get it to run natively at all in Logic. It always runs in AUHostingCompatibilityService (the Rosetta host), not AUHostingService (the native one).

Tried multiple reboots, re-validating in Rosetta & Native, reinstalls, everything - nothing I've tried has the PPG Wave 3.V running natively, it only runs under Rosetta here... so no luck so far - but good to know they are working on it.

for some plug ins i've had to delete the existing intel versions before installing the new one to get the new install to 'take'.

I just had that happen with AmpliTube 5.4, too. I had to uninstall AmpliTube then install 5.4 again to replace the older version.

Regarding PPG Wave 3.V, it could be possible that the AU plugin isn't yet M1 native. I have only tested the VST3 version and can verify it is coming up native.

Yes, I have heard of potential issues when you install a plugin where sometimes macOS/Logic/whatever doesn't *see* the updated ARM binary - I was already aware of this, and many of the things I tried were to mitigate this. I'll try deleting it completely, trashing the AU cache, rebooting, reinstalling and trying again and seeing whether I can get it to show up...

Edit: Nope, *nothing* I have done can get the AU to work natively (at least in Logic.)
I'll try again if they release another version...

In the asaudio.tech list, Lindell Audio TE-100 is listed under developer as Brainworx.
I believe Lindell Audio is a separate developer from Brainworx.

Lindell Audio is also listed on the Brainworx website. Let me do some more research on this, and I’ll correct it.

It's my understanding that Lindell Audio just licenses Brainworx's TMT tech. The Lindell Audio products aren't listed on https://www.brainworx.audio/products.html

I have several consoles from both Brainworx and Lindell Audio, and the two developers' styles are definitely different. For example, Lindell models the console preamps but Brainworx doesn't. Lindell also includes a separate buss channel amplifier plugin for theirs, while Brainworx does not.

Also, Lindell Audio have their own website here: http://lindellplugins.com

According to the about page:
Lindell Plugins is a joint venture between Lindell Audio and LSR Audio. Bringing years of experience together we have created a series of Plugins based on our hardware units.
Emmanuel Dubecq is Lindell Audio's Programmer and DSP engineer.

Yes, Lindell is a third party developer distributed by Plugin Alliance. The Lindell plugins are not developed by brainworx.

Thank you, guys. This is fixed.

You're doing a great job - thank you! :tu:

Now we just need the other Lindell plugins released for m1. :)

Weird that Thorn isn't yet included in the PA M1 updates, when iirc the developer has had a version ready for months.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

Yep, I've had M1 native versions of Thorn for a while, you can ask him for the beta. I'm going to guess he wants to fix a bug that got introduced where "enable preset switching with keyboard" doesn't work before releasing it.

Just had this email from Oeksound:

Native M1 compatibility coming soon
While soothe2 and spiff have been compatible with newer Apple Silicon computers via Rosetta, we will be releasing native M1 versions of our plug-ins very soon.

We now have functioning soothe2 and spiff M1 versions that are in the final stages of bug fixing and optimization. Apologies for the delay.

Once we’re adamant about the stability of both updates, we will send another message to you containing the download links.
