I'm aware that there is a thread on commercial software in Linux, but it's chock full of discussion about running things in wine and all of the various machinations one must go through in order to do so.

What I want is the much much shorter list of vendors who release Linux native versions of their commercial products that can be installed without wine and that do not rely on dongles or C/R.
So, for example Uhe. Native Linux distributions and simple serial number
Audio Damage has native Linux distributions, but I can't tell what copy protection they use. I only have one of their products on my iPad.
I'm specifically only looking for FX at the moment. Are their any other commercial vendors that take Linux seriously. If so, I'd like to give them some money.

This list is probably better than a thread for starters: https://wiki.linuxaudio.org/wiki/vst_su ... rcial_apps

This Overtone plugins update be of interest:
https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=24354
and it's parent 'MarketPlace' topic for linux commercial audio apps:
https://linuxmusicians.com/viewforum.php?f=59
The 'Plugins' topic has some commercial overlap, but mainly
for free linux tools:

Harrison Mixbus and plugins topics:

Don't forget the wonderful TAL-Software apps! Also DiscoDSP uses a C/R installer (basically to make sure the installer package is used by the purchaser, but afterwords you can copy and back up the individual files without ever needing C/R again. Also, Apisonic Labs has its great drum sampler with no C/R.

Vendor‑Dependent Copy Protection: Customers lose. Pirates win.
(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

Thanks for pointing out the SpeedDrum from Apisonic! In the pic, I have two of the lite versions, one with gamelan samples, and the other with conga/bongo/clave /agogo etc, samples from Hydrogen kits. Using Dualism in latchmode, I could edit the pads on the fly, to get 32 sounds I liked in the current beat
Got a keeper beat live recording in reaper as I type... I'll buy the full version if I survive April 18th

"Audio Damage Software Support And Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What sort of copy protection do you use?
A: Our products do not have copy protection. You are free to install them on any computer you own. Some of the older manuals mention registration codes. These are no longer required or included."
