These are fun. I still don’t use it to its full potential. I like what red means recording did in his video.
Yeah i liked that video mate. I was wanting to change the knobs. I seen someone using black with white tips somewhere it might have been that guy.
Do you know what size the knobs on the QD are? I wanna replace mine when it arrives. Any links welcome.
The ones I bought are these: https://www.electro-smith.com/parts/rogans
Soft Touch Rogan Knobs
PT-2-P-S
PT-2 / With Skirt / With Pointer

I think you have better options if you're in the UK. I had a hard time finding what I wanted. I'll add a picture shortly too.

Thanks mate found them here in the UK so it's the PT-2 that fits, is that the D-Shaft version not the T-18?

Looking to build a 12u Techno setup

Bought a Volca Kick on impulse ebay type thing. Have to say with that ms20 filter it sounds great really punchy and deep. I think the volcas are a step above that behringers new synths they are trying to punt for 99 and 49

Just ordered a 2hp Pluck, was pretty impressed with what I’ve heard of it in demos and I like how it can be used to make more chordal sounds.

Also I have that Isla S2400 thing, which I still need to figure out completely. DIgitakt looks fun though. :tu:
Spent some time watching Digitakt compared to Samples and I think my perfect drum machine is both of them together. There are a number of features on Samples not on Digitakt. The aftertouch pads are a big one. I keep hitting my threshold in Digitakt with the 8 sample slots (even with sample locks). It's not a major issue as I have lots of tools to work with, but Digitakt is fast and Samples seems just as fast for a number of reasons that would all be beneficial alongside Digitakt.

I'm in no hurry, but I think this is the plan at least later this year.

I just picked up a great deal on a Model Cycles that should be a great complement to my Digitakt and Drumbrute Impact! The seller also had a Model Samples and offered me a great deal for both, but it’s just two redundant with my Digitakt and overkill for me!
Logic Pro | LUNA Pro | OB-X8 | Prophet 6 | OB-6 | Trigon 6 | Rev2 | TEO-5 | Pro 3 | SE-1X | Minitaur | Integra-7 | TR-1000 | Analog RYTM mk2 | Digitakt 2 | TD-3 MO | TD-3 | Maschine+

Nice, seems like the model samples/cycles go on sale pretty regularly, unless you are after
a used one. Otherwise, you should be able to pick one up on sale without too much trouble. :tu:

btw I backed another Sonicware kickstarter for the Smpltrek (kind of an MPS style sampler) this time. Currently they are at $308,558 of their $40,814 goal.

I am #80 of 1027 (so far) so I should get one from the first batch maybe 8)

Did you see the time scaling feature for playing half tempo or doubling. And for retriggers you can use the pads to determine velocity instead of setting the fades via the menu. That means fade ins + fade outs, instead of needing to choose. Plus there 500+ samples per project.

Definitely there are redundancies… but I’m thinking of it like a digitakt expansion.

Ordered another Behringer 140 dual envelope module and 2 packs of Korg-SQ branded patch cables because fancy stuff is fine, but sometimes you need meat* and potatoes.

* Vegetarian for 28 years and counting, but…

I do think the 140 is good value though, 2 full ADSR plus a retriggerable LFO for £75 or thereabouts.

This is pretty cool. I love their price point too. This is what I always expected the old 4 track/8track recorders to become.

That is a good value. I struggled finding a dual ADSR module (in addition to Qu-bits Cascade) and ended up with the Doepfer A-140-2V Dual Mini ADSR vintage. It works great but it is cramped. I needed the extra hp so it’s a fair trade.

What I like about the Berhinger 140 is the momentary gate and the bonus LFO. I’m using the momentary gate on the 2600 more than I thought I would.

Post

I looked at the A140-2 and the quad A143-2, but I think I respond visually better to seeing the ADSR as vertical bars. Takes me back to when I first read about ADSR and there was a classic ADSR graph in the manual accompanying the Acorn BBC Micro.
