For BazilleCM, e.g., I think a VST3 version has been added, with version 1.0.1.
That's correct! I have VST2 & VST3 showing up in Studio One for both Bazille CM and Zebra CM.
I just bought the latest CM issue (#307), and, there's still only BazilleCM 1.0.0 on it...

WTH?
Did you install it and check the plugin version in the GUI?

I think the file details in the installer never got updated.

The installer is from 2016, but, I'll give a try... doubt that it's the new one though.

Edit: No, it's version 1.0.0. It says so in the installer, and, it also doesn't ask if I want to install the VST3, only VST2.

Are you 100% sure that version 1.0.1 of BazilleCM is in your content of the #307 issue of Computer Music?

The installer will install the latest. Something definitely weird about the details in the installer itself though. I compared the file hashes of the installer I used which was good, with the one from CM307. Exact match, so they are identical, bit-for-bit.

Edit: Never mind... I was checking the old installer against another old installer from the same old big plugin suite. The new versions are only available as single downloads.

Nope. I edited my post above. It's definitely version 1.0.0.

This is very weird.

May I ask how you got your content? Do you have a physical copy of the mag, with a DVD?

File Silo. CM digital edition. I archived the suite I used on an extra hard drive. File is the same as the current one. File hashes match, and they never lie.

Edit: the new versions are actually not in the suite, but are single downloads only.

Strange.

I just sent Computer Music an email asking what this is about. I can only suspect that they want to save on webspace, thus let people download an older version of the CM plugin suite. Or something. Actually, I don't have an explanation for it, especially as you obviously could download a different version of the plugin suite than me.

What was the earlier issue which already included BazilleCM 1.0.1 in your case? I also have CM issue #301, and that one also only included BazilleCM 1.0.0 for me.

When I take a look at the date of changes for the different folders and files in the ZIP file of the CM suite instruments, there's not a single file or folder which is newer than 2020. Really weird.

I just uninstalled BazilleCM, and installed the one from the #307 plugin suite. Just what I thought: It neither installs a VST3, nor is it version 1.0.1, when I load the VST2. It's just plain old version 1.0.0.

I guess I gotta give up here, and wonder why you were able to install version 1.0.1. I have no explanation for this. Gotta wait what Computer Music replies to my mail.

Aha! I figured it out! If you look closely when you access File Silo for CM #307, or any other that I checked, the suite download links you back to CM #296.

The download for the updated Zebra CM was a standalone link from CM #304 (and #301) and the updated Bazille CM was a standalone link from CM #305. I had forgotten about that. My bad, sorry! :dog:

So it appears that CM has never updated the suite!

A clever trick to sell a few more mags! :D

Yeah, that makes sense, and confirms my suspicion that they want to save on webspace, because, instead of several gigabyte big ZIP files, they only have a single one now, and a few single plugin downloads for certain issues of the mag.

Bit of a shame though that they don't include newer versions of the plugins into the suite after the initial release of those newer versions. I think ZebraCM is also the old version in the big plugin suite ZIP file.
