MED SoundStudio 2.1 is a 'tune of a different drummer' but in a good way...Such as the inclusion (built right in) of Arguru's HighLife Engine so you can sample a VSTi to a rendered instrument...
MED also has a rightclick dialog for pattern FX commands no need to memorize, study commands just make a selection & rightclick & follow dialogs!!!...EVERY TRACKER SHOULD HAVE THAT!!

MED is great for small screens & is a great choice for a netbook tracker...
It has many ways to generate sound & you can even render your song to a self-contained EXE...
I am just handing crumbs here...Go HERE-

Much more information & plenty images with all downloads there...
I have also posted quite a few HIGHLIFE Instruments I have made from sampling the output of various VSTi...Some like U-He Diva, ImpOSCar, Lounge Lizard and others including Devine Machine Krishna (haven't uploaded those yet)...
The downside of MED is there is NO MIXER at all...nada...Just volume-pan for each track and THERE IS NO AUTOMATION to speak of...certain actions can get recorded but it's ugly...I DID find some plugs by B Serrano that kind-of make up for it...
It has pretty good & fast VSTi-VST scanning though...The tracker has a 'chord mode' so tracks will fill on a poly strike of a chord but it takes some practice hitting keys at the same time...
