Orion's the easiet host I have ever used. Maybe you guys are having hang-ups becuase you anticipate a complicated process that simply isn't there.

Seriously. I didn't get out of the 'f**k with this endlessly with no results' stage untill I started using Orion. It's not my primary host anymore, but it's still the fastest application to facilitating the creative process I have ever used, with an FX section that heavily undermines using 3rd party plugs for most stuff, not to mention the built in synth colllection.

My *only* complaint is I wish I had spline editing for automation drawing. That's it.

very well said.

You just need to accept that lots of us love traditional logic/cubase/sonar style sequencing, and others dont..differnt strokes...but calling someone stupid who cant get their head around orion is rather silly..especially when the same person finds logic intuitive and easy...considering 90% of people here think logic is anything but logical. see what I mean? our brains all work differently.
I think you're wasting your time trying to reason with the miserable bastard, just face it he enjoys giving other people shit and feeling superior.

To everyone in the world - use what you like, its no-one elses business.

about as simple as it gets.
and doing one of your tunes would take me about five minutes in Tracktion, thus (according to your reasoning) I guess it shouldn't even be measurable how quickly I'd have thrown them together in Orion...

Actually Jens, it would not be possible to do them at all in Traktion as you wouldn't have access to the appropriate plug-ins. BTW, we write songs and none of them contain anything remotely like a tune.

ciao,
what host do you use now as primary sickle?
For the last couple of months I've been using Reaktor standanlone & doing whatever sequencing I needed in Audition, but my approach to composition has changed so drastically I'm hardly using any midi at all. I still use Orion for that when it's neccessary.
