I just get digital sounding distortion, no meters moving, no compression action.

Mac M1 Pro Monterey 12.1
Running AU through AUHostingCompatibility Rosetta layer in native ARM DAWs
Ableton 11.1, Logic 10.7.1, Plugin Doctor all give the same result

The previous version worked fine for me. Anyone know where I can download it? I can't find previous version downloads on the website.

Thanks for reporting this. I was resetting every process call because of a change I made to The Drop that I also needed to change to The Glue. This is all fixed with v1.5.2 available at the web page:

www.cytomic.com/products/glue
seems the VST version isn't part of the installer. just the AU is installing.

Yep, you're right, sorry about that. I've added it back to the macOS v1.5.2 installer.

Your website news mentions VST3 versions are in the works. Any timeframe on that?
After I finish The Scream I'm going to update to the latest Juce 6 framework to support both VST3 and the ARM instruction set for Apple Silicon macOS, with possibly ARM Win and iOS/iPad OS in the future. That will definitely happen this year, most likely around the middle of the year at this stage.
Since it’s been over a year since I asked this, I figure it’d be ok to ask again, as to progress on VST3/silicon. Any progress?

This work has begun. I'm doing The Glue DSP SIMD update to support our new SIMD abstraction layer at the moment - which will mean the DSP will work on both Intel and Arm based cpus. After The Scream is released I will update to the latest version of the Juce framework, which is required for both Apple Silicon non-DSP parts on macOS, and VST3 support on both Win and Mac.

After The Scream is released I'll also post back here to let you know that work has begun on the Juce update. Once I've had a couple of weeks doing the Juce update I'll be able to let you know an accurate estimate of when the beta release will be. I expect at least 2 months of work in total to update Juce and fix any major issues, but this is just a rough guess.

Thank you for the update. Good to hear.

Great! I would have thought that VST3 support would be easier with Juice, but it doesn't seem so easy?
A VST3 version would be great. No one knows how long Steinberg will support VST2 on Windows either.

VST 3 support is definitely helped by Juce, but I'm on Juce v3, and they didn't add support till later on, so the update to Juce is what will take the time, since they have changed / fixed a lot of things.

Or a more immediate question is what is Glue HD gonna be? I can't remember if Andy let slip any details. My assumption is at least "double-precision" internal processing (full 64-bit audio path in/out) - that would warrant the "high definition" tag and be a welcome addition, but it must be more than that. Maybe a high-CPU mode for extra detail/analog realism?

I think he mentioned years ago (when CPU's were not that strong as today) something about more detailed gain and saturation path.

The High Detail/Definition (HD) mode will be like I've done in The Drop and in The Scream, and mode which uses more cpu and more detail in the simulation. In the case of The Glue there will be non-linearities included in the main signal path, not just caused by the amplitude modulation from the non-linear envelope follower. The exact details I won't know until I've done further analysis, but I've automated my tools a lot since The Glue was first released, so I'm looking forward to throwing more tech and more cpu at the situation for a better result. The current Medium Detail (MD) mode will still remain, although this will just be what you get when you disable HD mode. There will also be an automatic switch on render to HD if you want (as well as higher oversampling like there is now).

How far are we from a Scream 1.0 release now.....weeks, months?
Intel Core2 Quad CPU + 4 GIG RAM

My estimates are usually good in terms of how long the work will take, but bad in terms of when the work will be done because I'm not in 100% control over external events that take priority of what I'm working on. There is just under 2 months of full time work to be done on The Scream. When those two months will occur I don't know, but will let the thread about The Scream know when I begin the work.
