layering synthetic kick with acoustic

hy guys,

i do some research this evening, would ask for tips here.
I wanna mix a synthetic kick with a acoustic one.
my idea was having the impact/attack and boom of the synthetic kick, but with the room information/organic sound of the acoustic one.
how do you do that, if at all?

There's lots of approaches...

EQ is one (a part) for picking what you want of one vs the other.
Transient shaper is another
Just one idea for using those two. would be to turn down the transient on the acoustic kick, and likely add a low cut with EQ to allow the boom of synthetic kick to be heard).

If you don't have a transient shaper, and if in a sampler... With the acoustic kick, adjust the start point and attack setting. You'll just have to play with where to place the initial hit as you'll likely want if off the grid.

The isolated sound of your acoustic kick won't sound like much, but you'll get a nice hybrid. Maybe take a look at Soniccouture's Eletro-Acoustic for some inspiration? You don't need to buy it since this is a common thing, but check out some videos to see if you hear what you'd like from this.

I often layer a 909 or 808 kick underneath an acoustic drum break to reinforce the kick.
Works well as long as I follow the kick pattern in the break.
