I've got over 100 gb of free drum and percussion samples, downloaded last 10 years, but neither have time, nor desire to check them all.
If you have favorite free percussion samples, good enough to be used in modern house production please share link.
I could making my own synthetic, but it's always better to know what other people like and use as well.
Thanks :)

Let me get this straight: you have too much of this stuff already, but you're still asking for more? :nutter:

Let me make it even simple for understanding for users like this one - I DON'T HAVE TIME to waste browsing thousands of files(and arguing a pointless discussions like this).
That's why ask for opinion.
What are doing here guys, wasting your time - All the time?
Need a nice free pecussion, there is a lot of them available, just curious, did somebody have favorite.
Why every time somebody ask a simple question, instead of sharing info, links so on immediatelly start some twisted alternative debate about something somebody think is interesting.
I have also 1100 free vst Cakewalk recognize.
I that's not even half all free stuff i collect since i start to feed my music hobby/mania:)
So what,it's free it's available for collections,it's wasting time if you don't know what you are looking for.
That's why start such topic.

P.S: For example i like some of free samples of G-Sonic,Cymatics and Echo Sound Works, but there is so many out there, i can't check every style and genre so to discover something interesting.
That's why kvr is best musical hobby site,so to share opinion.
Cheers :)

Only if they have the same needs and taste as you and are making the same style of music.... you didn't specify what that was

Be bothered, make an effort. Stop being lazy. Music is a craft...

What I don't understand is the pigeon-holing into styles. Take for example a sample set labelled "Latin". Does that mean the timpani etc in there can only be used for rumba, salsa, bossa nova? I'd take that further, eg piano. Wft is so special about a "house" piano?

Imho making music takes some creativity. That means taking whatever you have and make something new with it.

For example, this morning I found my reading glasses were missing a screw. So I fixed it by crafting a pin from a wooden coffee stirring stick.

Use what you have. Be creative.

Any time you try and play a single note, you get a chord?

Unfortunately, I do, and I love pointless arguments.

Admittedly, I don't keep up with house music much these days, so I don't know what is most useful, but for more pop stuff, the free electronic drum sample stuff I find consistently good, well-edited and usable is:

Wave Alchemy's Tanzbar samples, which IIRC weren't listed on their main page but only in a blog entry - these get a lot of use and are better than any of the other free Tanzbar samples I found.

Wave Alchemy's classic tape 808, for 808 hi-hats etc. The other Wave Alchemy stuff, free and paid, is probably just as good, but somehow the Tanzbar and 808 see the most use. Not very house, obviously.

Jomox XBase 09-Kicks are nice and very house-y, though possibly will sound pretty dated by now as they are from around 2012 I think.

Beat Magazin's Waldorf Drums for Zampler. Not sure if they're still available, but can probably be tracked down somewhere.

Nuclear Loops Variety Snares vol 1 and 2.

Boxed Ear Tempest and some Pulsar-23 samples I think I found via Reddit are samples of more modern drum machines which aren't easy to find, and worth tracking down, though I'm not sure if I've ever actually used them in a track.

Honorable mention: Majetone ACX8. Not actually electronic, but acoustic drums trying to sound like a drum machine . Extras from the recording sessions for the commercial AC08 library.

That's pretty much it - I could delete all the other free drum samples I've downloaded and probably never miss them, though some crappy stuff like RMIF Elsita is sometimes good to have for ironic lo-fi or something. I do have the Soniccouture Electro-Acoustic as well, for reamped old-school drum machines, and that's the only electronic drum samples I've ever paid for - though paid stuff from Wave Alchemy and Goldbaby also seems top notch.

Clearly not, when you've wasted it accumulating thousands of files you refuse to browse.

Circa 2000 I remember telling a couple of students working for me that they were downloading more than 24 hours of pirated movies a day.

Well duh it's the 21st century, "It's always better" to use the Google algorithm: 'free house drum samples' returns 38 million hits & top results are "what other people like and use" so it's a no-brainer :dog:
